Comfort In The Mountains

The sun shines onto my face

Is hot; it warms me

Walking up a steep, long, and winding trail

The shady spots are relaxing

Dark points of the forest are refreshing

The woods have a cold, musty, damp, earthy smell

Scents that make me feel as though I have to sneeze

Yet are comforting in aroma

Like drinking a fresh cup of tea or sitting in a hot spring

My senses awakening

I hear the many leaves rustle as I walk atop of them

They break under my weight

Crackling sounds erupting like that wood makes

When burning in a camp fire

Their coloring just beginning to change into fall

It makes me joyful to be out here surrounded my nature

When hiking I find comfort in the mountains
