"And even if she does know, she's not telling us. Especially you." Rhodey said.

"Wait, what's that supposed to mean?" Pepper asked.

"It's supposed to mean Whitney knows you like Tony and Tony likes you back and she's mad that you basically stole him from her and she won't want to talk to you because of that."

"What? No…really?" Pepper asked. She didn't really ever think about it, since she hadn't had to deal with Whitney in a long time, but now that she got the chance to, it did make sense. It was weird for her to think Tony actually had feelings for her. For the past two years it'd always been a mystery. She'd never known for sure how Tony felt about her, and she'd been certain once he started dating Whitney that he didn't have feelings for her beyond friendship. But once they broke up, she felt a little more hopeful. And when Whitney stopped talking to Tony, she'd enjoyed not having to deal with Whitney and the drama that trailed along behind her and had slowly forgotten that she had existed. She'd enjoyed the fact that she and Tony had been getting closer lately.

"Uh, yah. Whitney knew that as long as you were still his best friend she didn't stand a chance. She's hated you ever since she met you just because of that. She's threatened by you and doesn't want to show it. You seriously didn't know that?" Rhodey asked.

"N-no. I mean, I knew she hated me, but I didn't know it was solely because of Tony…I thought it was just because she's a rich, stuck up snob and I'm not." Pepper explained.

"Well it's basically because you guys have been subconsciously fighting over Tony ever since you first met." Rhodey explained.

"Maybe I wanted to believe that, but it seemed so unrealistic…" Pepper said quietly. "I knew that all along, it just seemed too unrealistic..."

"…Wait, Tony likes me?"

"You just picked up on that?"

"Shutup!"

"Yes, I'm pretty sure he does. He just doesn't know it yet. But trust me, he will soon."

Pepper merely blushed, not wanting to think about it.

"Well whatever. Just don't say anything, okay?" She said as she approached Whitney at her locker. She swallowed her nervousness quickly as Whitney closed her locker door. It would take a bit of prodding to get information out of her.

Well, this was short and kind of weird and seemingly pointless but I thought it was cute and whateverness. It's…well, it's whatever…just review, okay?
