he told her once and she asked him once
hands on the table
words outspoken, temptations bare
they both shut down
with promise
its been too long now
but some days she feel smaller than others
yesterday they were even
Thursday held discrepancies
and yet today her core feels stretched
she guesses simply stretched further away from him
the key word is misconception
a misconception for the ages
a love which before the beginning has been tainted
by every other and not each other
so they go for a drink that will never come
take a second date which won't bring back tension from the last
shut their eyes and dream of another interference
for if nothing else will come forth
unwrap itself and ask the question
then its not worth the leap
