Hey they! This is another thing from the poetry corner of MysticNight9. I kind of wrote this poem on a whim, but looking at it more closely it reminded me lot about Kikyou.

While her character is kind of evil, I think she is sometimes misunderstood. She had good reason to feel pain and resentment; she didn't ask to be a haunted corpse.

Kikyou is creatively dramatic and has a captivating darkness. I would like to believe this poem represents some of her emotions. Enjoy!

Final Words

I know what I have done

I respect my punishment

Smite me all you want

But you will not see repentance

My secrets were always truthful

My betrayal kept no lie

So I fall down onto my knees

With my head held high

I offer no defenses

Judge me for who I am

I give my heart to heaven

But my soul is eternally damned

Will silence speak the loudest

Or shall I rage and scream

Nay, I simply close my eyes

And plunge into painful dreams

I expect no understanding

Love abandoned me long ago

I only leave a memory

And pray for future hope

Thanks, and until next time!
