*From Puck's POV, when he enters middle school.*

It was middle school; the dawn of a new era.

After graduating from Lima Elementary, just barely, I was opening into a whole new world. In middle school, we were allowed to have lockers instead of cubbies, we could eat in cafeterias instead of just in unused classrooms, and there were legitimate sports teams.
I looked at myself in my mirror one more time before heading off to the bus stop. I wasn't wearing anything special for the first day of school. My mom didn't have that much money after my dad walked out on us, but she did what she could for my sister and I. I was dressed in a plaid button up with a plain white tee-shirt underneath. I was wearing my favorite jeans and I really didn't think I looked that much different.
I stepped on the bus, tugging nervously at my hair, as I always did.
Oh right.
There was no hair left but a small strip down the middle, thanks to a stupid bet with Finn. I hated this... mohawk, or whatever you called it. It felt so uncomfortable, and my head was always cold. It just didn't suit me, I thought.

Speaking of Finn where was he? As I stepped off the bus, I looked around for him, certain I'd be able to see him and his gangly frame somewhere in the hallways. I couldn't seem to find him, and made my way towards my locker. I stare down the crowded hallways desperate for someone I know, but I can't seem to find anybody.

Then, I saw her.

She was dressed in a light pink dress with a white cardigan over. Her, with her hair that swirled like rows of gold, soft hazel eyes that gave me shivers, and a smile so bright it could have melted Antarctica.
Quinn Fabray, the girl of my dreams.
She turned and caught me staring at her, and flashed that smile that I loved so much.

"Hey Noah!" she exclaims to me. "Isn't this so cool? I can't believe that we're in middle school!"

"Yeah, uh, it's pretty cool" I say, trying to sound cool as I tugged at (what was left) of my hair.

"Glad you like it." There goes the smile again. "I better go find my locker. Everything here is just so big, and new, and cool!" She squeals, turning her back to me.

I watch her walk away, wishing that I could be that lucky guy who gets to walk hand in hand with her down the halls. The one who is able to call her his girlfriend.
Just then she turns around, and with the most sincere smile I have ever seen says,
"By the way, I love your new haircut."

Maybe this look isn't so bad after all, I think, smiling to myself.

*Just a thought this would be a cute little story of the two of them. (:*
