"So...how did it go?" I slowly asked Reed as he walked out of Von Doom's building, trailing behind him were Ben and Susan. Reed had an expressionless face and it was hard for me to tell if it had gone as planned. He noticed me as if he forgot that I was here waiting. "Everything went according to plan. You have permission to come along as long as you don't interrupt our research." "Cross my heart." I made the motion over my heart as I said it. He sighed, looked behind him and when Ben gave him the signal to go on, he told me "There's one more thing Jessie.." He looked down and rang his hands together, fidgeting where he was standing.

"Well? Are you going to tell me or not Reed?" He sighed once more, looked up and told me in the most confusing way possible, "Ben isn't going to be the pilot as we had so hoped. Instead, Victor and Susan are taking on someone who is...a little immature..quite close to Susan, and um..." His voice shook off nervously as the answer came into my head. "WHAT!?" He flinched at the power I gave the word and before I could say anything else Ben and Susan came walking by. Ben told Reed, "Told you she'd take it well." I glared at him and he rose his hands in surrender. "Reed, you mean to tell me that the pathetic, cheating, scheming, lying excuse of a man is going to be with us?" He nodded slowly, and I gave a brief look to Susan, "Sorry." She held her hand up telling me "It's okay Jessie. Johnny can be...a little hurtful to women when it comes to him dating them." I scoffed, "A little?" She smiled at me and pulled me in for a hug "It's good to see you again Jessie."

I relaxed into the hug and told her "You too Sue, it's been too long." We pulled away from each other and I heard someone call out, "Susan! We need to go!" I looked over her shoulder to see Victor Von Doom giving her an impatient look and standing outside a limo. She nodded to him, turned back to me and apologized, "I'm sorry Jessie, I've gotta get going now. But I'll see you later!" I smiled at her and nodded as she turned to leave to Victor. She got in the back of the limo and he got in after he, slamming the door. I turned to Reed and Ben waiting at a taxi for me, "Well, Victor hasn't changed at all has he?" Ben chuckled and Reed didn't say anything. Obviously there was some tension with the subject of Victor Von Doom. When I sat down in the cab, I sort of zoned off and thought of what was to come. One thing was for sure,

Johnny Storm was back and it was going to be interesting.
