"Grandpapa, tell me a story." Henry's granddaughter kneeled at his chair, "Pretty please." She turned her bottom lip upside down into a frown.

Henry smiled and patted her on the head, "Of course Emma, why don't you hand me my book? We can read the story of your great-great grandparents."

"You've read that story to me a trillion gazillion times!" She emphasized her point by throwing her arms out as if she were measuring a trillion gazillion between her hands. "Grandpapa please tell me a new story!"

Henry smiled at the excitement on young Emma's face he could remember a time when he was captivated with stories as well, "Perhaps I can tell you a new one," He pondered, "Have I ever told you the story of the Savior?" Emma shook her head no; he lifted his granddaughter up under her arms and placed her on his lap. "There once was a woman named Emma. She is your namesake; she was also your Great Grandmother. There was an evil Queen who cursed all of the people here to another world but, before that your great-great grandparents saved Emma and sent her to my world through a magical wardrobe."

"Why?" Emma gasped.

"There was a man who could see bits and pieces of the future, he said that if they could save the girl in 28 years she would return and save them all."

"What happened next Grandpapa?" she asked eagerly.

"The town where the Evil Queen sent everyone was frozen in time for 28 years until yours truly went and got your Great Grandmother Emma and brought her back to Storybrooke. She was stubborn as a mule and nearly took my death to see the truth. Have you heard that there is one magic in all the realm that can break any curse?"

"True love's kiss!"

"That's right! You see the Evil Queen wanted nothing more than to be rid of the Savior, she tried everything that the new world had to offer but couldn't find a way to win. She turned to another man for help and together they retrieved an item from this world to destroy Emma, a poisoned Apple tart. Before Emma could take a bite I did, the poison put me in a deep sleep but I had faith that Emma could save me, save everyone. The doctors said they tried everything and I couldn't be saved, Emma kissed my forehead in goodbye, and with that one kiss a pulse of magic carried through the whole town bringing back memories to all those who had forgotten. "

Emma looked at Henry smiling, "She sounds amazing!"

"She was." Henry smiled thinking of his mother. "Sadly the story doesn't end there. The final battle began and Emma was taken from us defending the lives of those she had grown to love. But we will always remember her and the sacrifice she made for us. She might've not ever wanted to be a hero but she always was."
