Nightmare on Elm street Fanfiction
Elizabeth screamed, thinking she had just awoken from a dream. She walked, her house seemed different, only it wasn't her house. She walked in dazed confusion of her surroundings. Her heart pounded with fear as she stared to run. It seemed as the room was closing in, and it was. She was alone as it crept closer. She heard a voice. It was chilling her with every word. It spoke in a muffled speech, but it seemed like it kept saying her name repeatedly.
The voice stopped talking, ending its words with "Here's Freddy." She collapsed inside, her fear taking over at the sound of every heartbeat. She heard the screeching of the fingernail knives that Freddy had made into a glove to fit perfectly on his hand and kill every victim whose dreams he entered. Her aunt who lived with her on Elm Street had been killed earlier that week in her home. Her aunt always talked of a man who fit the description. Nobody ever believed her, until she was gone. They never found the murder weapon or the killer. Not even a suspect. Elizabeth knew now. The murderer was Freddy Kreuger, and now he was here for her.
She ran and ran, but she heard footsteps now chasing after her. She slipped on oil and got up. She seemed to be in a boiler room now. Freddy's infamous boiler room. She cut her leg on a piece of metal and awoke. She sat up in bed, screaming and gasping for breath. She felt a sting of pain as she looked down and saw that she had sliced her leg. She gasped and stared blankly at the cut which had been the exact same in her dream. She sat there for a long time just looking with tears in her eyes. She knew that this was a challenge that she now had to face.
It was time for bed as Elizabeth thought about staying awake. She had no classes tomorrow. It was Saturday, and she was in college. She didn't want to face this alone, but she was. She knew she had to go in her dream and face this with courage. Freddy Kreuger was known for being "unkillable" Elizabeth thought otherwise. She believed with the right strength she could destroy this, and if she couldn't she'd die trying. She climbed into bed and lie there a while. She thought about all of the wonderful things in her life. She would avenge her aunt's death, and she was ready.
Elizabeth went to sleep eventually, and now she was in a dream. It seemed to be a room full of mirrors. This made things more complicated. She saw Freddy on every mirror. She didn't know when or where to turn. She ran from mirror to mirror. She decided to stand still in the middle until he came into the open. Finally he jumped out and they were face to face. They fought. She was weak from wounds the knives made. She had to do this. She fought until he collapsed. She wondered if it was a trick. He faded to dust and drifted away. The sun shined a little brighter. Elizabeth did it, she was a hero. After decades of Freddy's murders, she killed him.
Suddenly, she was lifted up and out of her dream. She was standing at a cemetery. She was confused. She saw a group of family and friends crying, dressed in black. She walked to the coffin and saw herself in it. She realised she had died fighting Freddy. She saw her aunt come up behind her. Then they both were gone. Elizabeth had won, at the expense of her life.
