Annabeth Chase was many things. She was the daughter of Athena, goddess of Wisdom, a real Wise Girl, you could say. That also made her a demigod, a half blood. She also had mortal parents, so she was also the daughter of the step mom she finally learned to get along with, and of course her father, whose relationship with her she had never imagined could ever be so good. And of course Annabeth was proud to be the older sister of two very rambunctious children. Most important to Annabeth though, were two other things.
One of them was being being the architect of Olympus. Yes, Annabeth Chase, and yes at nineteen years of age, was the official architect of Olympus. Although she had originally been given the honour when she was fifteen, she would remember it for the rest of her life as being one of her greatest achievements. The other had to with the boy sitting beside her. Although, the boy sitting beside her had grown up to be a man, he was such a Seaweed Brain that she still thought of him as a boy. But then again, a part of that also had to with the fact that she had known him since they were twelve. But only a small part though.
Seaweed Brain, as only Annabeth affectionately referred to him as, was also a demigod. His godly parent however, was Poseidon. He lived with his biological mortal mother, Sally, who also happened to be one the most amazing women Annabeth had ever met, and his step father Paul, who was actually pretty cool as well. Said Seaweed Brain was actually named Perseus Jackson. And also happened to be Annabeth's boyfriend.
Although she had and Percy had been dating for a while now, five years and two months to be more precise, he actually hadn't even been sitting beside her for quite a while. Well, not really anyways. He in fact was actually sprawled across three bus seats, excluding her own, with his head in her lap, sleeping. Not that she could blame him though. It had been a pretty long day. Looking down at his sleeping face, she couldn't help but smile. His sleeping was just adorable. Not that she would ever tell him that. She ran her fingers through his hair absentmindedly. Percy mumbled something she couldn't understand in his sleep and turned to the other side, now facing her.
Annabeth was hit with nostalgia every time she saw his sleeping face. That's the way he was when they had first met. Well, more or less. It was after he had fought and beaten the Minotaur, the first time around, and he'd fainted. She had spent the next little while caring for him until he healed. He would rest between meals and would incoherently mumble nonsensical things. That's when Annabeth also found out that he drooled in his sleep. He was doing that now, the Seaweed Brain. She shook her head while wiping his lips with her thumb. She bent down to press a kiss to his forehead. "Goodnight Seaweed Brain", she whispered. She sank into her seat, leaned her head back, and closed her eyes.
