"Warren?" Layla's voice broke the silence.
Warren looked at Layla. His eyes were dark. He looked troubled.
"Is something wrong?" Layla asked him.
The two sat outside the school alone. Everyone had already gone home.
Warren shook his head. "No." he whispered.
Layla read his eyes. "You're lying." She said.
Her red hair was wild and her emerald eyes were focused on Warren's.
"I'm scared." Warren confessed.
He felt he could only confide in Layla.
"Of what?" she asked softly.
He turned to her.
"Of being like my father." Warren said bitterly.
Layla grabbed his hand. He didn't burn her this time.
"That will never happen!" she exclaims.
Warren locks his eyes with hers.
"What makes you say that?" he asks.
Layla gave him a confident smile.
"I believe in you." She said.
Warren tilted his head towards Layla's. Their lips met and passion overwhelmed them. Warren pulled Layla towards him and they moved their mouths together. They pulled away.
Warren smiled at Layla.
"I know." He said.
