Draco Malfoy walked into the dimly lit circular room. He took off his black robes to reveal himself to the full length mirror facing him. He untied his his hair, letting the long, straight, white locks fall down his slightly curving back. From a shelf next to the mirror he selected a small glass bottle of silver potion. Sitting down he poured a few drops on his hands and began to rub it into the soles of his feet. Slowly moving around and around he covered the whole foot. Then he started on the other foot. Methodically he began coating himself entirely in the potion. His skin began to glow white. By the time he got to his head he was filling the room with light. When he finished the glow suddenly faded. Now his eyes glowed silver. He replaced his robes and felt in his pocket for his wand. As he held the wand it began to turn silver, starting at his hand. When the whole wand was silver, it dimmed out to, like he had done.

There was a tentative knock at the door and Draco turned swiftly to face it, wand out. "Come in" he said, in a commanding voice. The door opened slowly and thin girl walked in, looking almost identical to him, except she wasn't dressed in wizards robes, she was dressed in a thin and very grubby calico dress. He motioned for her to sit down. Looking shocked, she did as he asked. "Now," he began "I presume you understand what now occurs?" She shook her head. "Father will rarely be at home, and I will be at school. It is your duty to ensure that it appears as though Father might return at any moment, as he may. Never leave the house, send someone else outside if you need to talk to the gardeners." She nodded. "As I nor Father trust the magic of the house elves it will be your duty to protect the house. Here is your wand sister, do not tell father I gave it to you, but I value our safety above The Ideals."

The girl left. Draco sighed and sat on the floor. The past few days had been hectic. His father was constantly being summoned off. Draco was Master while he was gone. It was only recently Father had insisted on the potion. He would take no chance that his only son might get caught up in what he was doing. Draco would be staying at school through the Christmas holidays. The potion was to make him immune from all other magic. The only counter-potion was truth potion and the only known maker of that was Snape, Fathers old friend.

Draco sighed and covered the mirror before leaving the room and magically locking the door. This would be a long year.
