Okay. This is what I think should've happened between Brooke and Lucas in episode 5 of season 5 when they were in the hotel room. That ending was so BS! This is just a one-shot.

Brooke and Lucas enter the hotel room apparently drunk.

"Woahhh. Alright boozy, let's get you to bed. Come on. Here you go. Ohh.. kay. Alright." Brooke helps Lucas onto the bed.

"The bed is spinning."

"You're gonna be okay. I'm gonna get you into some jamies and I'm gonna take a cab home and you can sleep it off."

"Or you can stay." Lucas than pulls Brooke into a kiss, but she pulls away.

"Okay. I think that might've been the second most stupidest thing you've done in the last 24 hours. Luke, we're not in high school anymore and I love Peyton and even if you don't want to admit it right now, so do you, okay?" Brooke hands back Lucas's engagement ring and turns to leave.

"Brooke, wait. I have to tell you something. Something important." Lucas said as he stood up from the bed.

"What is it?" Brooke asked turning around.

"This may sound crazy, but uhm.. I was actually happy when Peyton and I broke up," Lucas confessed and it felt really good that he was able to say it a loud. But Brooke, on the other hand, was just confused at his confession. "The thing is, I actually still love you Brooke. You are my only one."

"Haha. That's a good one Luke!" Brooke laughed nervously. She kept telling herself that it was just the booze talking, but she couldn't help but feel that there was some truth to what he was saying but she couldn't wrap her mind around it.

"I'm not kidding Brooke. It's YOU I love," Lucas said seriously. He couldn't get why she didn't understand him and it hurt him inside. "The whole thing was just an act. My whole relationship with Peyton. I just went out with her because it seemed like you didn't love me anymore." Brooke just stood in total shock. "I don't love Peyton. Never have, never will. And I know we were just pretending to be engaged tonight, but I feel like it should be for real."

"Lucas, you can't be serious. This is just all the booze talking. You don't really love me, you love Peyton. YOU LOVE PEYTON!" Brooke cried out trying hard to fight back tears. Lucas slowly walked over to her and embraced her into a hug. It felt so good to have her back in his arms. "You love Peyton," Brooke said through tears while pounding his chest. "I don't get it." Brooke stared up into the beautiful blue eyes that were staring right back at her. And just from that, she could tell that he wasn't lying and he really wanted to be with her as much as she wanted to be with him. She felt his arm reach up and saw him bend down to give her a kiss. She wanted to pull away, but something inside her told her that this was right. Their lips met again, and this time Brooke didn't pull away. As their kiss intensified, Lucas pulled away.

"God. I missed you Pretty Girl."

Brooke smiled. "I missed you too Lucas Scott." Then their lips met once more.

The End.
