"Hey, Taehyung!" I heard an unfamiliar voice call from behind me. Turning around, who it was surprised me. I had been collecting my things to go home after the school day and was just about ready to go.
"Hey… Jungkook" I was extremely confused. I had never talked to this boy in my entire life, except for the occasional acknowledgment in the hallways or in class. Being in high school, and being a bit antisocial, I don't really save any time for friendships. The only relationships I have with anyone are the friends I've had since childhood.
It was also confusing, seeing as this boy was one of the most popular and most attractive in the school. Him talking to me was just extremely weird and confusing, and I'd be lying if I said he didn't catch my eye.
"Ca-can I help you?" I asked. He smiled a little, obviously noticing my discomfort with the situation.
"Yeah. So I wasn't here yesterday, and I was just wondering if I could get the notes I missed."
"Oh," I said, not expecting that answer, "Of course." Pulling out my notebook from my bag, I couldn't help but feel somewhat wary of his presence. "Don't your friends have the notes? Why ask me?"
He didn't hesitate his answer, "Because I trust you more." I gave him a questioning look, but he just dismissed it.
"Here, just give it back to me tomorrow." I smiled and started to walk out of the classroom.
"Wait!" I heard him call out again.
"Yeah?" Turning around, Jungkook's disposition had changed to somewhat shy. He was looking at his feet.
"Uhh, maybe we could hang out sometime as well. Walk home together, maybe?" He looked up at me, and I could feel my face heat up at his question.
"Yeah, that sounds good. Umm, I have to be home early tonight though, so, uhh, maybe tomorrow?" He smiled at what I had said.
"Okay. It's a date then."
"Yeah," I said, "A date…" I turned around and walked out into the hallway. My face was so hot, I hoped Jungkook didn't notice. But he probably did.
