~ Lazy Afternoons ~

They hadn't been this close in a while. Gou laid on her bed, Rin on top of her with his face buried into his chest and arms holding her in place. Both slowly dozing off and lost in their own thoughts, the Matsuoka siblings stayed like this for hours. Gou had always found comfort in her brother's presence, just knowing that he was here in her arms put her in complete bliss. Rin had missed the close relationship with her, and had come over to visit her at home; after talking for a bit they eventually just snuggled down in a peaceful silence.

"Rin, while you were away did you ever get homesick?" He peeped up at his sister to see her contemplating expression.

"Many times, I missed mom and the Iwatobi swim club and our home. But I'd say most of all I missed you." Gou looked into his eyes and saw the love and compassion for her glistening in a sea of red.

"Well then it's good you could come back home to me." She smiled and placed a peck on his forehead. Both flushed at the gesture, noticing the simple intimacy behind it. "Can you promise me something?"

"I can try my best" He offered.

"Please don't leave me again...I wouldn't be able to handle the distance all over again. I enjoy the bond we have and I don't want to lose these moments." A frown tugged a her usual cheerful smile and a painful throb could be felt in Rin's heart to see her upset.

"I promise." He slowly leaned up and kissed her lips, lightly and sweetly. Shocked, her eyes widened but quickly closed as she returned the kiss; melting into his muscular arms. Their kiss became more passionate, and needy as Gou tightened her arms around his neck and pushed her body up flush against his. Rin's hands roamed her body, softly caressing and leaving behind a light tingling sensation.

He pulled back first, out of breath and lightly panting as he gazed down at her. She giggled at his tangled hair and gave him another chaste kiss before laying back down again. Tugging him behind her to cuddle into and wrap her in his embrace once again, which he did gladly. One arm around her waist pulling Gou to him while the other played with her long crimson tresses.

"I know I don't say it much, but I love you Gou." Rin whispered into her ear while trailing kisses down her soft porcelain neck.

"I think I've always known that, it just doesn't hurt to be reminded." She hummed, slowly drifting to sleep under his soft embrace. Slumber taking them both as the sun slowly dipped in the sky on a lazy afternoon.
