Lament
Author's Note: This poem is kind of a prequel to a story I am preparing to write on what I believe caused the destruction of Romulus. I claim no ownership over the Romulan species, the planet Romulus, the star Hobos, or Star Trek whatsoever.
Fire, Fire
Star explode
And consume our world,
Consume it whole.
Fire, Element
With your Rage
Punishes us
For our ways.
Gone, Gone
Nothing more.
Nothing, Nothing
Anymore.
Escape, Escape,
But a fraction.
Billions lost
And gone forever.
To Vorta, Vorta
May they ascend.
We grieve, We grieve
Our family, Our friends.
All taken, All taken
Young and old.
Mothers, fathers, and children,
All.
Lost, Lost
Lament we shall.
And paint our faces
Black as Night.
Hobos, Hobos
With your might,
We want to be taken
And rejoin our losses.
But cowardice, cowardice
We cannot.
Cowards, Cowards
Suicide the coward's way.
So we live with our Grief
And all our pain
Without our families,
Who were by Hobos slain.
Lament, Lament
Drowning sorrow.
Slowly to die
Almost forever tomorrow.
