A/N: I watched the episode Pretty Much Dead Already again the other day and it made me want to write Sophia's death through Carl's eyes.

I sat there on the ground with my mom holding me down. All of a sudden there was the sound of growling coming from the barn. All of a sudden, I saw Sophia walk out of the barn growling at the gang. Miss Carol started to run up to her, but Mr. Daryl caught her before she got too close to Sophia. I stared at my Dad and realized that he was having a hard with seeing Sophia as a walker.

"Don't watch." My mom said as my Dad started to walk towards Sophia. "I'm sorry. I heard my dad say before he pulled the trigger that made Sophia dead forever. We all just stood (sat) where we were before my dad shot Sophia knowing that we were never going to be able to hear her voice again.

My dad turned to me and held me close to his chest. "I'm sorry that you had to see that Carl, but it needed to be done."

I looked up in my father's eyes and said. "I know that shooting her, even in walker form wasn't easy for you. I also know that it needed to be done."

My parents and I hugged each other and as I did, I realized that there was nothing no matter how hard it would be for my dad to protect my mother, myself, and the rest of our little gang from the Walkers and everyone else that got in our way.
