Dancing With A Dream

Another sleepless night.

Thinking about things that she shouldn't do right now, in the middle of the night.

Worries fill her face under the moon's light, as her eyes gazing into the stars looking for an answer

Maybe even those stars are looking for answers themselves.

A question that so many worlds shed their own tears and lives just to ask that same question, a mystery that can only be answered from those who caused it.

''When will the war be over?''

A question, the answer that was no where to be found, complicated by this simple question, asked by those from young to old, from the poor to the wealthy, from ordinary people and Jedi, from clones and even the droids themselves.

''I don't know'' it was all they can say, as they watched their home torn up by the war raging at their own doorsteps, their prayers to their different gods goes unanswered and was swept away by the sound of blaster fires ripping through the air, and the Lightsaber's hiss swirling in the wind.

A lot of people blame the Jedi for the war, because they are keeping the peace?

Or blindly leading a war?

She called herself a peacekeeper, but they saw her as a warmonger.

But, they are right.

How can you have peace, when the so called peace keeper leading an army of one man into battle across the galaxy? If that world refuses to join the Republic, Her forces invade that planet, when it becomes too much, diplomat it just a whisper in the wind as they slaughter thousand of the defenders of that world just to make it joined her cause with force.

Are the Jedi Order are even in control of this war any longer? Or they are just a tool for the senate for a costly war?

One question lead to many others, but they all clueless in finding an answer, there are so many questions that she wanted to ask the stars, but across the galaxy, thousand of other stars are crying for mercy, so how dare she ask a star for an answer that it's own too cannot find?

Luminanara sat by her bedside, and let her gaze toward the moon of Coruscant, let her mind drift into another dimension, another reality which there is no burden of war, no crying for help and pain, even no Lightsabers, no Sith, and no Jedi there, just she, and a peaceful world fills with life and happiness, there is no force there, doing everything with her own hands and crept the biggest smile she could, and a happy ever after.

A dream that sounds so foolish and selfish, but the dream is meant to be just dreamy.

And maybe there is no happy ever after for her, for a Jedi who devoted her whole life for this Order, but now, she has doubts.

Doubts that maybe this war will never be over, or if it does, maybe she doesn't even exist anymore, maybe after this is all over, she will join the shadows on the wall of the ancient hallway, echoed her voice throughout the temple, and rest if she like, to become one with the force.

Somehow, that thought soothed her, she doesn't afraid of death, but she doesn't welcome it either, her time will come, and maybe it will be tomorrow, next cycles, or many years away, but until then, she would dance with her dreams every night under the moon's light of sleepless nights, forget about everything, forget it all and become one with the harmony of her own dreams.

Lost in her own thoughts, Luminara didn't notice the figure slowly set herself beside her.

And her green skin with tattoo across her face lighting up under the moon, as her student look at her with worries in her face.

But maybe Luminara didn't have to dance alone with her dreams, maybe she was not the only one thinking the same thing as her, but also Barriss, and who know, maybe other Jedi in their sleepless night, wake up to find them thinking and talking to themselves alone in the night with her same question.

And her student placed her hand above Luminara's, with a smile on her face.

Luminara will not dance alone tonight.
