1.1 (Author's note: I lost the original and decided to re-write it. The original, I think, had much better plot going on…anyway, DO NOT FLAME ME! _ Reviews are welcome, however! ^_^ Please enjoy this oh-so-angst-filled songfic!)

1.2

1.3 A burning, stinging feeling consumed the air as the feminine figure of the pilot cried out, watching a shadow of the mecha known as Epyon splinter into millions of pieces as it was bombarded by enemy fire. The only man that she could ever truly love had been piloting that demonic mobile suit and now he was gone from the plane of the living, never to return.

Hastily, she startled into consciousness. Briefly, she brought a hand to her forehead, which was heavily dampened with sweat. "What an awful vision…" she thought to herself as she averted her azure orbs to the other side of the bed in which she laid in, which was currently vacant. Her eyes widened immensely with terror.

1.4 My lover's gone

1.5 His boots no longer by my door

1.6 He left at dawn

1.7 And as I slept I felt him go

1.8 Returns no more

1.9 I will not watch the ocean

1.10 My lover's gone

1.11 No earthly ships will ever bring him home again

1.12 Bring him home again

"Zechs…you idiot…" Noin softly whispered as she felt a terrible burning sensation in the sockets of her eyes, a few sparkling trickles of water streaming down the sides of her cheeks. Together the two had made a promise to escape the pointless war of power that was wreaking havoc among the colonies as well as the Earth. However, the mighty powerful Epyon was just too much for Zechs' willpower to deter away from.

Noin lightly brushed her fingers across her own lips, shuttering slightly in turn. Her premonition, or perhaps just some dream, might in some way become reality…

1.13 My lover's gone

I know that kiss will be my last

No more his song

The tune upon his lips has passed

1.13.1 Her reddened and still leaking sapphiric orbs shifted to aside the firmly closed door. His boots had stood there for days upon days, but now they were gone and more than likely would never stand on the premises of the small farmhouse ever again.

Noin clumsily threw the blankets off of her body in disgust, swinging her bare, pale legs out into the harsh, cold air. She was alone, as she had been before Zechs and her had made their decision to elope.

She attempted to support her self with her shaky legs, however she failed miserably, collapsing helplessly onto the floor. The tears began to burn intensely now as she felt a welling pain in her stomach. Reaching for it, she tosses her head backward into the air, an earth-shattering screech exploding from her parched, chapped lips.

I sing alone

While I watch the ocean

My lover's gone no earthly ships will ever bring him home again

Bring him home again

In the outer atmosphere of space, a scarlet and black mobile suit flew away from the seemingly peaceful planet of Earth. The masked man piloting the beast shut his eyes tightly, bowing his regal head downward. He felt a swelling sensation in the corners of his eyes. There was something that he just had to achieve before he could settle down, even with the woman that he loved.

"I'm so sorry, Noin," Zechs calmly replied, allowing stinging hot tears to trickle over his cheeks and down his neck. "So sorry…"
