The water shimmered in the light of the sun, casting the colors of blues and greens onto the restful face of the girl relaxing on the rails of the boat. The girl slowly opened her eyes, allowing the world to catch a glimpse of the shadows in them. Her hair fell over her uncovered shoulder like silk, moving minutely with the wind. She took a deep breath, focused on the way the boat moved side to side.
Unbeknownst to the girl, a dark shadow towered over her form. Before she could truly comprehend the situation, the shadow playfully pushed her over the railing in silent mischief.
However, the shadow's lighthearted joke derailed from its intended purpose. Instead of falling safely into the water with only anger as her companion, the girl banged her head at the edge of the boat which caused her to lose consciousness with only a grievous injury to escort her into the dark depths of the lake.
The shadow, or man as he is seen, did not witness this scene due to his uproarious laughter. He was unable to truly grasp how dire the situation was. It was only till the man registered the silence of the surroundings that he acknowledge the creeping sense of dread in his chest.
" . . . Jessica?"
I woke up. At first, I was confused. My vision was blue, which was unusual. It was only when I tried to breathe that I realized what was happening.
A rush of water entered my lungs. I began choking, unable to handle the flow of water into my system.
I tried to swim upward despite the panic clouding my judgement. However, when I began to move, an unimaginable pain emerged from my head, causing me to be disoriented.
I felt like I was dying. No, I was dying.
I began to feel more lightheaded as time passed by, but then I heard a splash nearby. I turned my head to face that direction and saw a vague shape swimming towards me.
I wondered idly if it was my foster brother James. I hoped that he wouldn't blame himself. I tried to smile at him, to convey that everything was going to be okay, that everything was going to be fine. But darkness overtook me.
I felt at peace.

In a small village, surrounded by grass, the Force was waiting for a child to be born.
The Light Side radiated a gentle warmth, hovering protectively around a small hut.
The Dark Side retreated, fleeing so that its essence would not be purified by the nexus of the Light Side.
In the hut, laid a beautiful woman who moaned with pain from giving birth to new life. Clutching her hand was her husband, hardened by a life of hard work and no luxury. He whispered endearments into her ears, soothing her with his gentle voice. A midwife was also there, murmuring words of encouragement.
At last, a cry sounded out in the hut. The woman collapsed into the arms of her husband, tears of happiness in her eyes. Her husband smiled happily at the woman.
"We did it, Sagnen. We have a child." Her husband kissed the side of his wife's head. The pure awe in his voice made Sagnen smile.
"Yes, Cliegg. We do have a child. After all, I just gave birth to it." Sagnen gently teased.
"Him. It's a boy." The midwife corrected, amused at the antics of the couple. She moved towards the couple and slowly handed the newborn to his parents.
Sagnen carefully adjusted the baby against her chest, staring at him with a mother's love.
"He's perfect." Cliegg whispered lovingly, grabbing ahold of the baby's fist.
"He is, isn't he?" Sagnen placed a kiss on the baby's forehead, soothing the child with her presence.
Cliegg turned to his wife. "What will his name be?"
"His name . . ? His name will be Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan Kenobi. My only hope." Sagnen smiled at Obi-Wan.
Unknown to all, the Force lovingly caressed Obi-Wan, whispering melodies into his ears.

In the Room of A Thousand Fountains, an small green alien deeply submerged himself into the Force. His physical form melted away, leaving the Jedi Master to be one with the Force.
The Force flew around him in a harmonious melody, unknown to all but him at that moment. Colors of blue, green, and white swirled together creating a picture with no form nor meaning. The smell of blooming flowers, wet grass, and sweet fruit cocooned him, soothing his troubled heart.
He was at peace.
It was then that the Light Side of the Force expanded and collapsed all within itself, as though it was a super nova. It spread out a subtle wave of pure warmth, love, and peace as though it was celebrating a joyous occasion. However, the spell lasted only a second. Short enough that many were unaware of the occurrence, but long enough to have actually occurred.
This occurrence startled the Jedi Master from his meditation and back into the present world once more. He lowered his ears in unease.
What happened was an unusual occurrence, an omen perhaps. Whether the omen was good or bad was uncertain. The thing that really caught his attention, however, was how the Force shifted slightly, as if it was preparing for something. But what would it be preparing for?
"Master Yoda!" A Senior Padawan entered the room.
Yoda broke his train of thought and, instead, inclined his head towards the Padawan inquisitively. "Speak with me, you wish to."
The Padawan nodded, "Master Adi Gallia has called for a Council meeting for the crisis in Centares."
Yoda hummed in response and dismissed the Padawan.
He slowly pushed himself off the floor from his meditation stance with the help of the Force. "Meditate on disturbance, I will. For now, Council meeting there is."
The Force playfully spiraled, as though it was amused at Yoda's declaration. It would be two years later, when confronted with a youngling that encompassed the Light Side itself, that Yoda would remember what happened during one of his meditation sessions.

On another planet entirely, seeped in the powerful presence of the Dark Side, Darth Plagueis, better known as Hego Damask II, pondered on the abnormal occurrence that he perceived today.
The way that the Light Side imploded on itself was strange, but what was more unusual was how the Light Side sent a pulse of pure energy everywhere.
The fact that the pulse purified some of the lingering presence of the Dark Side at Mygeeto was frightening. As long as Darth Plagueis had been alive, he had never encountered something quite like this.
The fact that it happened, however, made Darth Plagueis realize that if he ever wanted a chance to rule the galaxy, then he must put his plans into motion quickly. Before something happens to interfere with them. He cannot let this purifying force find him and stop his plans. He will bring back the Sith Empire, even if it was the last thing he'll ever do.
The Sith will Rise.
And the Jedi will Fall.
