Alisha was not your average teenage girl who would concern herself with the lastest styles of fashion, trying to date the hottest boy in her village or dreams of marrying the right one. She felt that all that should be on the backburner.
After all, the life of an adventurer is best when you have nothing to tie you down.
There were other pressing matters at hand and that was...she is a full-fledge pirate.
From birth she was surrounded by pirates, the history and the structure of the pirate world. Plus if she wanted to make an impression, she was told to acquire as much information so that she may not be decieved in doing something that would ruin her reputation.
It was not like she had a choice or not since her adopted brothers are pirates, you would unintentonally grow in the mold that was set for you. Besides, it is way easier if when you just accept it as your new way of life.
When she was still a child, her older brother left the comforts of their home to join a pirate crew. Apparently, they had a great deal of influence on Ace since he came home one day and could not stop talking about a man by the name of Whitebeard.
"He's reknowed for his strength and has sailed the seven and back..." were some of the things he would regale her with during a visit home from an encounter with Whitebeard.
Next thing she knew, he walked out the door and in a cool manner said "See you later" instead of "Goodbye" sent chills of relief through her.
Personally, she did not want her older brother, her confidante, her protector, and best friend to leave at least not right at the very moment his prescene would be cruical for the rest of her living life.
But not to long before Ace left home, their mother gave birth to yet another young pirate.
It seemed as if their future was already mapped out the instant he let out his first cry to show that he was a normal healthy baby. Soon after that, her brother would soon become cursed by a very rare type of fruit, the Gum Gum Fruit.
Whoever devoured the cursed recieved immense power but there was a major side effect to eating that fruit.
When you recieved the power, you have to give up something crucial for you to survive at sea when you are on a quest for Gold Roger's famous hidden treasure, known as One Piece, and that is your ability to swim.
Exactly how her brothers came to posses one of these cursed fruit still baffled her to this very day. All she knew was that sooner or later, her brothers' were going to face off against an intelligent pirate who when then use their curse against them. Either one of them could have easily died from drowning to death, which was like committing suicide if you ate the Gum Gum Fruit.
At first, she did not know the specific name of Ace nor Luffy's fruit but she knew from the letters that Luffy can now stretch his limbs at incredible lengths and retract them with no type of pain at all. That is if it isn't really sharp while on the other hand there was spitball fire-head Ace.
'I'm just glad that he hasn't burned any innocent people nor died from drowning either.'
Unlike her brothers, Alisha did not swallow a curse fruit so she still had her ability to swim.
But in turn, she acquired a very tragic past.

Her Sweet Sixteen party excitingly buzzed throughout her home since she was the only one of the three that remained. Her younger brother was already beginning his journey to become the King of the Pirates before she fully turn sixteen.
Alisha decided instead of an extravagant sixteen birthday party, the teen opted for a small get together with some of her most trusted friends.
Her best friend, Julia, was currently upstairs with her when they unexpectedly heard a lot of noise downstairs. They then decided to check out what the ruckus was all about.
Before they even completely crossed the bathroom threshold, a chilling scream was heard as it echoed off the walls toward their direction.
The sound of footsteps were heard when she caught a glimpse of her mother attempted to race up the steps until she was suddenly cut down in the back by what looked like a scythe with a black string tied on the end.
Alisha swiftly yanked them both back inside of the bathroom out of surivval instincts and quickly locked the door. She was desperately searching for something heavy to barricade the door with but they were out of luck.
"We have to be very quiet. There are ruthless thugs in the house and we have to escape quietly." The teen softly whispered to her best friend, who was still unaware of the dangers that they were in at the current moment.
She just nodded her head when Alisha quietly snuck over to the window and with one loud "click", was able to open the door.
"Hey boss! This door is locked." The voice outside of the door stated after they repeatedly jiggled the door knob, which caused both girls to instantly freeze in their tracks.
"Kick the door in, baka." The authoritative voice promptly ordered him as Alisha waved Julia to come towards her so that they could make their way out of the window.
Her sights merely watched Julia shook her head in a no fashion before she noticed that she used herself as a barricade from the first attempt to kick the door down.
"Go and live your life." Her best friend silently mouthed the words as she braced herself as well as the door when yet another kick was delivered.
Julia unintentionally emits an "umph" from the impact.
"Boss! I just heard some kind of noise that sound like a...girl squealing," The man announced as the other man who gave the order to the one who kicked the door stated "Well then give one good kick."
Time seemed to have slowed as a hole was easily made with one of the lastest kicks.
"I can't believe this idiot was right!" The man shockingly said once his eyes locked dead on with Alisha.
"It seems as if we had some more unnoticed guests, blow the door down." The man in charge was shouting after removing his eye from the hole in the door.
"Alisha, listen to me," Julia's voice was pleading while she was observing them rolling a miniature cannon onto their level floor.
"You need to escape and live your life. Live for everyone else's who lives were tragically taken from them tonight. Please live with your life as well as mine."
"Steady the cannon." They heard the order from behind the door.
For a brief moment, all of the intense training Alisha preserved through seemed to have switched her to such an hyperactive state that her mind could not keep up with her instincts.
"Ready..." Julia was coming to terms with how her life was about to end but was willing to scarifice it for her best friend so that at least one of them may live to see another day,
"I'm glad that I was able to call you my best friend, now go." Julia's last statement mentally etched in her brain oncd she heard the sound of the ball being released from the cannon, a high pitch scream and her body crashed onto the wooden crates.
It all seemed to have blended in perfect chaos harmony.
She slowly rolled off the wooden panels as the pain traveled from her feet throughout her entire body, which shocked her nerves from its numb state.
As the teenager was wearily gathering herself from the descen, her sights was peering up to see a rather wide gaping hole in the frame of the window along with blood splattering onto the nearby wall. A bloody arm hung limply from the window.
'Those murders will pay for shedding innocent blood...for now I have to find a way out this hell hole of a home.' Alisha avows
Julia's wish repeatedly cycles through her thoughts even when she was blown to smitherns right in front of her eyes. Her best friend's blood coats the side of her face while she stumbles out from a semi-dark alleyway.
Barely ten steps outside of house, she was approached by a group of thugs who all seemed to bid their time for anyone who might have escaped from their raid on the house.
Alisha had unknowingly walked right into it.
"Oh, it seems as if one lives," A pudgy man with a red and white pinstriped head scarf spoke to the the group of thugs.
"Do you think she caught the captain?" A man with circular glasses asked as he placed his right hand on his weapon.
"No way! She's way too scrawny to take on the Capt!" A man with bright red hair stated with two daggers on each side of his hip.
"Wait a sec...look at that hilt of the katana." Another thug was pointing out to the group before they were deadset on robbing her of the only precious possession she has left from her family and friends.
"Hey chick," It was the pudgy man this time that caught her attention, "What little pigg?! I don't have time to sit here and talk to you!"
The group of thugs amusingly laughed at her.
"It seems as if she has quiet the temper on her...I like that in my women." The bright red haired man made known as he circled around Alisha at a comfortable distance for the both of them.
"We would like to challenge you to a duel...if we win we will take you in as a slave and your katana will be ours as well but if you win...you'll get to walk freely." The man with the glasses gave the proposal.
Sensing that there were no other means of escape, Alisha was going to have to bear her arms and take on one of those thugs. Even if they looked as if they at least knew how to use their weapons rather then care for today's date.
The thugs exchanged look amongst each other and nodded until the man with glasses stood in front of the crowd. The others took a step behind in order to create enough space for her to easily distinguish who her real opponent would be.
"It would be a shame to have to mar such a beautiful face like yours for some rare collection but...if it is something that I want then I will take it." He confidently remarked as his hand no longer rested on the hilt of his weapon yet his other hand remains against the bridge of his glasses.
"For a man, you sure do talk a lot." Alisha snapped at him as her right hand pushed her katana from its black sheath and used her opposite hand to remove it with the slightest of ease.
"Well then, I won't say this won't be interesting...it seems as if you know what to do with that blade." He told her after he studied the manner she held the katana in her hand.
The katana was in a diagonal angle from her waist.
"Why would I carrying something I don't know how to use?" The young woman rotated the edges toward her opponent who drew his scythar from its holder.
The two were speedily dashing towards each other when the man was sidestepping right before clashing with her sword causing her to miss her target. However, she was able to adjust her forward postion so the blade would not connect with the flesh of her face.
The teen physically managed to catch herself before she ran in to the group of thugs, who probably waited for her to slip so they could pounce and strip her of her prized possession.
"I'm surprised you manage to dodge that move of mine. But it doesn't seem that all of you was able to avoid contact with my blade." The man boldly stated before he peeked at the girl over his shoulder.
'What's he talking about?' Alisha was wondering before watching fine strands of hair drifting slowly to the Earth.
"Hey! Do you know how long it took me to grow my hair!" The raven haired teen angrily shouted as her aderaline seemed to increase with each emotion she felt.
'She seems to be getting serious,' The man assumed once he realized that his opponent was no longer in front of him, 'Where did she go? How did she move so quickly?!'
"Die!" His sights got a load of her in a squat position directly in front of him while drawing her katana upwards.
The young teen managed to leave a long scar across his chest as his blood spluttered everywhere, just like Julia's, splashes acrosd her face.
Her breathing was growing heavy while her aderaline was gradually dropping since there was no immediate danger her body was sensing.
Her eyes were peering down at the man, who she was fighting against earlier still breathing from the deep cut across his chest. The female stood in complete and total shock once she realized what just occurred.
She soon found herself surrounded by more of thugs, who managed to exit the house after the disposal of the murdered bodies only God knew where.
Alisha began to panic as cold sweat slid down her forehead like ice on a hot plate. She sensed that this could be the end of her bevause she was not strong enough to keep her promise to Julia.
"Luffy... Ace... help me..." She was abruptly waking up breathing hard.
Her sights soon saw the sun started to rise up, so she decided to head to the marketplace to pick up a couple of things.
After the young woman fully dressed herself, she then locked the door once she exited from her home and traveled towards the marketplace, which was about a couple of miles away.
The raven haired woman was starting off early so she could make it back in time before the blazing sun was ascending across the sandy desert floor.
Alisha briefly paused at one of her regular shops that sold flowers, perfumes, candles, incense and anything that smelt good. Her ears soon overheared a nearby conversation.
"I heard Princess Vivy is being escorted by pirates!" A little short lady tells a husky lady.
"You know I heard that too! Some say she's in the Yuba desert now." The husky lady said while Alisha departed from the stand once the women's topic of conversation changed.
"I wonder if it is true or not but I better be careful. It may be some well known pirate gang with one hundred men...so I will have to keep my distance.' She thought as she made her way to a well known Bird Wrangler.
"Can I borrow Roadrunner for a minute, Sammi? I'll bring him back, promise." Alisha enquiringly asked a short older man, whose beard showed that he was wise with his age.
"Sure, I owe you one anyway. Thanks for bring her back to me. Plus, it seems as if he has taken quite a liking to you." Sammi, the bird wrangler, stated as the bird affectionally rubbed its long neck against her.
So being naturally curious, she took off on the fastest bird that she could find and headed towards the desert.
