THE LIFE OF SCOURGE

I was born in shadows,

A weakling from the sewers.

There was little food,

And hope was even fewer.

Our family was big,

Cats who were homeless and broken,

Big cats came, to take our territory,

To slaughter the outspoken.

They wanted to control,

To kill and rule.

We fought back.

But outnumbered by the fool.

I fought.

I killed,

With a love

Of the blood I spilled.

I was a ferocious monster.

I fought the rogues alone.

I destroyed them all,

Down to the bone.

I was named leader,

But it wasn't enough,

I had grown angry,

And tough.

I had a hunger,

That could not end.

A ache for power,

That could not mend.

I knew the strengths of death.

I could not feel pain.

I would still fight.

Power, revenge was my gain.
