Hello... Just Thalia and Annabeth and Jeff... Sorry it's short. Not. Wouldn't they want to die quickly?
Disclaimer: I do not own the Percy Jackson characters or Jeff.
The wind howled, the shadows shifted in the moonless night. The wind seemed to whisper. The breeze spoke, it whispered to anyone who wanted to listen.
Smile
Thalia ran through the woods, her black hair swishing behind her. She was running, but she didn't know why. She just knew she had to run. Annabeth ran next to her, keeping pace. The forest was quiet. Too quiet. Annabeth tripped and fell, catching herself at the last moment. Thalia raced back to help her up. They shouldn't have stopped, Thalia realized too late.
Smile...
The two girls looked up,searching for the source of the sound.
"Whose there?" Thalia asked, standing at her full height. She turned around in a slow circle, looking, searching.
No one, and everyone, my dear. Now go to sleep.
Thalia jumped, startled. The voice was behind her, but it was... everywhere.
"Who are you?" Thalia chocked out, shivering, suddenly chilled to the bone.
Me? Oh, I'm Jeff.
He stepped out from behind a tree on the girl's right. He was sickly pale and his hair was pitch black, darker than the darkest night. His eyes were black, the color of death. His shirt was torn and stained with blood.
His smile... it was etched on his face. He was ragged yet... beautiful.
Thalia took a step back. By now Annabeth was on her feet.
"My name is-"
I know what you are.
"What am I then?" Thalia stuttered.
Dead.
Thalia and Annabeth both took another step back. Now their backs were against a giant oak tree. No escape.
Pray to the gods all you want girlie. No one can help you now.
He smiled, a smile that Thalia had thought was filled with happiness. No, it was filled with madness. His eyes darted around with a special kind of insanity. The type of insanity that found pleasure in killing. His blood soaked lips were stung wider than the Chesire cats's smile.
We're all mad here aren't we?
Go To Sleep...
