My first Law and Order: Trial By Jury story. It's just an extended ending scene of Skeleton. Tracey and Hector continue their talk. No romance, just friendship. Please read and review. Enjoy.

"Let me walk you to your car." Said Hector after he turned off the light.

"Thanks, but I'm gonna work for a little while longer. Then maybe I'll think of heading home."

"Just don't wear yourself down, okay?" The concern in his eyes was genuine as he caught Tracey's gaze. "You may have lost once, that don't mean that you have to work twice as hard at your second chance."

Tracey laughed, "Wise words there, Hector. I promise not to push it too much."

He smiled. "I'll hold you to that."

They walked as they talked and before they realized it, they reached the elevator.

"Remember, not too late." He said.

"I won't. Goodnight Hector." She turned to leave.

"Goodnight Tracey." The elevator door went to shut, but he pushed them back. "Oh? Tracey?"

Tracey spun around, "Yeah?"

A small blush crept up on his face. "Thanks." He wouldn't look her in the eyes.

She cocked an eyebrow. "For what?"

"Actually caring. Remember – a few days ago? It meant a lot." Before Tracey could answer, the elevator doors shut and he was gone.

"You're welcome?" She asked rhetorically to the empty room.

Tracey was surprised he remembered about that; she just chalked it up as a typical male thing – never show a reaction when a woman shows concern for you. It was nice to know he was grateful for it. After all, it was a dangerous situation he was put in. He was almost shot! Why shouldn't she be concerned for him?

Now that she thought about it, maybe she would follow Hector's advice. She turned around and walked back toward the elevator. Tracey pressed the down button, hoping to catch Hector before he left.

As always, let me know what you think. Trial By Jury is a great newshow and deserves some fanfiction. Great job to all who have written for it already.
