Fred Weasley II: Mischief Managed
"Fred! It's your first day at Hogwarts!"
"Vic!" he mimicked his cousin's voice. She rolled her eyes.
"Just don't blow up anything!" she exclaimed and went off to find her friends. Fred slouched in his seat and glanced at his twin sister, Roxanne.
"How long does James need to say goodbye?" he complained. Roxanne snorted.
"The Potters are always late. I thought you got used to it by now," she said. "Speak of the devil."
James walked into the compartment, followed by Amelia Scamander, a fellow first year. She and James were close friends, their mothers being best friends back in school. Fred often saw her at the Potters and at those big reunions, and she had a troublemaking side.
"Plans to sneak in the Weasley's Wizard Wheezes stuff?" James asked as soon as he sat down.
"Dad said they were on Filch's banned items list," Roxanne said. She wasn't into mischief like the other three in the compartment, but when you're George Weasley's daughter… well, you get the point.
"Whoever that Filch dude is, I can't wait to give him a hard time," Fred said. "I'm going to make Dad proud." His mother always said that Uncle Fred, his deceased namesake, was Dad's partner in crime, and that his Dad wasn't able to laugh properly after his death.
"But we better find a way to sneak those in," Amelia muttered. "My trunk's loaded with products."
"So is mine," James and Fred said in unison.
"My brothers are idiots, so they can't hide stuff to save their lives," Amelia said.
"Victoire wouldn't help us," Fred added. Roxanne, who witnessed Victoire scolding Fred, laughed. James's eyes lit up.
"Teddy!" he exclaimed and ran out of the compartment to look for his god-brother.
"He's a seventh year, isn't he?" Amelia asked. Fred and Roxanne nodded.
Just then, James reentered the compartment, dragging Teddy. Fred told him the first years' dilemma.
"Hmm," Teddy looked thoughtful. "Do any of you have a small bag?" The first years shook their head.
"Wait!" Amelia exclaimed. She took out a small money bag from her trunk and emptied the galleons into it. She gave the bag to Teddy. He cast an Undetectable Expansion charm, and returned the bag.
"Alright!" he said. "Now all of your stuff can fit in here without anyone realizing. Filch'll just think it's a regular old money bag."
"Teddy, you're the best!" Fred exclaimed, and Teddy left to continue his Head Boy duties.
The first years hid their Weasley's Wizard Wheezes items in the money bag and Fred said, "Mischief managed."
.
"Would you guys just hurry up already?" Amelia complained through the door of the boys' bathroom. She heard a BOOM, and Fred and James emerged, holding a toilet seat.
"First day at Hogwarts accomplishment," James said with a grin. "Come on, get under the cloak." He pulled out the Marauder's Map. "The owlry is that way."
.
Fred, James and Amelia grinned at George's response to their toilet seat.
"How about we call ourselves Marauders- Third Generation?" James suggested.
"Sounds good," Amelia agreed.
"You know, you're the first girl Marauder in three generations," Fred commented.
"Shut up, Ginger."
With that, the three of them brought their wands to the Map and said, "Mischief managed."
