Thank you for clicking on this fanfiction instead of another one. This is the first time I've posted fanfic but I've been writing it for a long time. Enjoy the adventures of prince silver and Inferny!

Silver

From his boat, he saw the land ahead. It appeared to be covered in some sort of flame, but there was grassland behind it. He had a fireproofing band somewhere in his satchel but he couldn't find it. He also couldn't find the piece he needed to get the motor working and without a motor he would have to row, which would leave him unfit for walking through a kingdom of fire, fireproofing band or not. Once he found the piece and got the motor working, it wasn't long before he found his band and was at the beach. As he walked into the fire kingdom, a most curious thing happened. In this kingdom made entirely of fire, it began to rain.

Inferny

She glimpsed a flash of light in the alleyway. It was worth salvaging, she thought, and so she cast a perception spell to stop anyone seeing her. she ran to the spot where she had seen it, but couldn't find anything. Then she saw it again. She picked it up quickly and took a closer look - it was a fire gem that symbolised royalty, worth more than money - if she wore this, she would have a title, status, power... 'I'll keep it,' she though, 'and then tomorrow I'll give it back to the princess.' She pocketed it, and then the rain started. It didn't rain often in the fire kingdom, mainly because the heat dispelled most clouds, but if a fire elemental came into contact with too much water, then they could die, which is why everyone was running for their houses. Inferny didn't have a house - she was thirteen and a street orphan. The rain was coming down harder now, and her vision was beginning to blur. The last thing she saw before blacking out was a tall, crowned individual with a... was that a robot arm? He was coming closer to her. 'It must just be a vision.' She thought. And then just darkness.

Silver

It was like a ghost town. There was not a soul in sight, but all the lights were on. Then he saw her - a girl that seemed to be made of flame. She looked like she was in pain, so he ran to her - but then he realised that she must actually be made of fire. 'How,' he thought, 'can one give first aid to a being composed of heat?'
He felt for a heartbeat - it was half as fast as it should be, so he decided it would be best to give her more fire. He reached into his satchel and grabbed a miniature flamethrower he'd made for fun last week, pressed the button on his crown that turned it into a pair of goggles, and turned it on. The effect was far from immediate - she woke up coughing fifteen minutes after the rain stopped, but it worked.

"Are you OK?" he said, "What's your name?" The girl coughed, tried to mutter something, and then said

"Inferny"

"OK Inferny," said silver, trying to follow the rules of first aid, "are you... alive?" he couldn't help asking.

"Yes, of course I'm alive, I'm a fire elemental." Silver decided he'd ask her about that later.

"Do you have parents, or a house?" she muttered something and said

"Nope." Silver began to ask her more questions, and Inferny gave him the answers. They talked until sunset, and by that time they knew each other well. So when Silver left the fire kingdom that night, Inferny left it by his side - and when science and magic are put together, they create the greatest team.
