BlueMoon Goddess: This is another contest I entered for IYFIC Contest on livejournal and I got third place for it. I was so happy at the time and the theme was 'Sad Smile' which was pretty easy to write. I decided to change a little bit of dialogue, just to add a few more things I wished I did the first time around. At the time I did get inspiration for this drabble from the song 'Wedding Dress' by Tae Yang but instead sung by Kevin Lien. So enjoy it guys!

Disclaimer: I don't own InuYasha or its characters.

Summary: He looked at her with a sad smile as they walked down the hall to his doom.

Inuyasha walked into the room and stopped as he gazed at Kagome through the full length mirror before her.

She saw him and turned around, giving him a bright smile walking over toward him.

"So what do you think?" She asked him sweetly, twirling around to give emphasis. Inuyasha just stared at her, missing the question.

'She looks as beautiful as the day I first met her.' He thought looking at her in a sweetheart tulle wedding gown with chapel train and holding a fresh bouquet of white roses and lilies in her hand.

"Inuyasha?" Kagome questioned, snapping him out of his thoughts.

"Huh? Sorry what did you say?"

"I asked you how I looked."

"I…" He paused, looking at her beautiful face.

Should now be the time he say those words he always wanted to say before it's too late? He had been in love with her for years. Hell he believed he first fell in love with her the moment she first sat next to him on the school bus in the second grade. Since then they had been thick as thieves.

He opened his mouth about to say those words, until he thought against it, instead saying. "You look beautiful Kag." He replied with a smile, as she beamed at him.

"Alright then…" She said holding out her hand to him. "You ready?"

Inuyasha looked at her then reached out and gently took hold of her hand and gripped it as they made their way out of the room. He knew deep in his mind that he'll never be ready to accept the fact that the love of his life was about to marry another man… that wasn't him.

"As ready as I'll ever be." He replied with a sad smile.

BlueMoon Goddess: So very, very sad. My good friend has told me countless of times that I should expand this drabble and make it a full length story, though I'm not really sure what I should go around it plot wise. Sadly though I believe that this will be all I do. But nonetheless, I do hope you guys enjoyed it! ^_^
