Hey Everyone!

Is it just me, or was the movie horrible? There's so many things that I think could've been done better than it was. Firstly, I think the casting was all wrong. Alice wasn't hyper enough, Jasper looked to be grimacing the entire time, Emmett was tiny, Rosalie was not that pretty, Carlisle was chalky, and Esme's face was disproportionate compared to the rest of her face. I think that although Rob Pattinson basically looked the part, they tried to have him portray this emotion that he didn't get across correctly. The way Hardwicke (the director for anyone who didn't know) had him speak, and show his emotion made him seem to have a disability that hindered his speech. It wasn't like he had a speech impediment, but more like every time he tried to talk, he couldn't and had to try again. Also, I think that the special effects were horrible. Edward was supposed to sparkle from a distance. Until the camera shot an up close view of him, there was such a little difference in his appearance that all of my friends I went with (twenty-something of them) missed it. The parts where they were supposed to be running didn't make them look fast at all. They looked like normal humans. In the beginning, it said they ran 5 times the speed of humans, where in the book; it was described as much faster. Also, nowhere in the book did it say the vampires could fly. In the movie, they appeared to fly, not run. WHERE in the book did it say they could scale trees!!!!???!?!?! That was the most unrealistic and untrue part of the movie that I saw. Lastly, when Edward is sucking the venom out of Bella's arm, it was the absolute worst portrayal of that scene I could've ever imagined. It was so weird the way his face was completely wrapped around her arm, and obviously it caused him a lot of pain, but he looked so strange. The whole scene was very cliché. In general, the whole movie moved way too fast.

Please let me know your opinions.
