Author's Notes: Yes, I finally get to do a Taiora.
Disclaimer: I don't own Digimon or TV Tropes.
Sora was beginning to realize that a bored and restless Tai was something no one wanted.
A few days ago, the former leader of the Chosen had taken a nasty fall down a flight of stairs (that was really his own fault as he was too busy talking to Matt and hadn't noticed when they got to the staircase) and had broken his leg. It was a shame too since this weekend the rest of their friends had gone to the beach for the entire weekend.
So, Sora had volunteered to keep Tai company while the others were gone. And she reassured a worried Kari that her goofy big brother was fine. However, she had underestimated what a bored, cooped up Taichi could become without the distractions of soccer, his friends, and sister.
"Are you on that site again, Tai?" she groaned. He nodded, without looking up from his laptop, and she ran a hand through her hair in frustration. He had been on TV Tropes (a great website, that she usually enjoyed herself) for nearly three hours now. Three hours!
"What are you even doing?"
At this, he finally looked up with a big, kind of cute grin on his face. "Well, you know how this site has a trope for everything?" She nodded slowly, a sudden feeling of dread filling her. "So, I thought maybe tropes apply to all of us too!"
"Wh-what?"
He either didn't notice or ignored the strangled pitch her voice had taken on. He continued to grin as he continued, "Matt's a male Tsundere (well, maybe not so much anymore), Mimi's a Cloud Cukoolander…"
Sora vaguely recalled that a "Cloud Cukoolander" was a character who had their head in the clouds and were oblivious to reality at times. I'm sure Mimi would love that description…
"…you're the Team Mom…"
Alright, that was the last straw; she couldn't take his insane pigeonholing of her and their friends any longer. But how to get him to stop talking? She thought as Tai ranted on, oblivious to her lack of attention, and then it came to her. There was only one enjoyable way of getting him to stop without occurring revenge.
Just as Tai opened his mouth again to make another ridiculous statement, she clamped her hands on his shoulders and roughly twisted his upper body to face her. As he gaped at her show of focre, she smashed her lips against his.
Tai went stiff, unsure of how to respond to this sudden display of affection. Before he had time to think, let alone kiss her back (which he definitely wouldn't have minded), she gently pushed him away and turned to face the television.
"C'mon, let's watch some anime."
And with that, she rested her head on the shoulders of her red faced, and unusually silent friend.
Problem solved.
Author's Notes: I love TV Tropes but it is a very addicting website (though, thankfully, I'm nowhere near Tai's level of addiction in this story). Please read and review. Constructive criticism is appreciated.
