She calls to him, in his waking moment her voice so low, that he is sure he is the only one who can hear it.
He can't wait to hold her lithe form, knowing how sharp and quick she can be.
It 's more then true that she has a rapier's tongue.
Yes, his lady is deadly and dark, her true form hidden from the light.
Yet he can not ignore, nor deny her call to come and dance.
Dance with me, she calls, float effortless and true.
For when we dance you become me, and I become you.
We merge into one being and form, that is purest thing.
This is the meaning of love, when you dance with me.
He can not resist her siren call,
He knows the words are all too true.
But when worse comes to worse,
He knows he is addicted to the dance.
When she shines he thrills, and when she wears a coat of red he glories
For the dance brings him power and strength.
She might turn at a moment's notice,
Such is fickle fate, betraying him at any time.
And that too send him thrills that he can't deny.
Oh he loves to dance, holding her close and hearing her sing,
For him this is love, and the pain and hope that it brings.
So when his lady calls to him, telling him to dance,
He can not ignore it, he knows that he can conquer yet
That she will submit, cave to his wisdom and skill,
the art is in the play.
"Karai" he gasps as he comes to rest, tired and worn.
He hears a muffled chuckle that turns into loud guffaws.
He turns a dark menacing look on his brothers two.
" Hey Leo, think your going to far?" Raph quips.
" Has the leader's heart shown it's core?"
Leo smiles soft and rolls his eyes, as he sheathes his blades
He glances at the two then turns and walks away.
To dance with his lady love on another day.
He knows his secret still safe for he would
never speak her name.
He knows for him he will go but one way,
One day the blade will shift and turn,
His lady's love will fade,
and then she will defend him no more,
Making it true what they claim.
That he who lives by the sword, dies by the same.
But if he loves her well perhaps that will change.
