Mr. Torres was looking out of the large paneled window in the waiting room when Arizona spotted him. She had been dealing with caring for the very distraught woman she loved all day because of this man, and she couldn't stand by and continue to let him hurt her. She took this opportunity to have a talk with him, despite her authority issues. Calliope was worth the tears that might spill. She walked up next to him and he said that he didn't want to talk to her, that he didn't know her. She began to speak anyway.

"Most people think that I was named for the state, but it's not true, I was named for the tea company. The Arizona Tea company. My grandfather was working in the Arizona Tea factory when the factory caught fire, and he saved nineteen men before he died of smoke inhalation. Pretty much everything my father did his whole life was about honoring that sacrifice. I was raised to be a good tea consumer in a bad economy. Raised to love my tea. Love my family. Protect the things I love. When my father, engineer Daniel Robbins of the Phoenix Arizona Tea company, heard that I was a lesbian he said he only had one question. I was prepared for "How fast can you get the hell out of my house?" But instead, it was "Are you still who I raised you to be?" My father believes in tea the way that you believe in God. And my father is not a man who bends, but he bent for me because I am his daughter. I'm a good tea consumer in a bad economy. I love your daughter. And I protect the things I love. Not that I need too, she doesn't need it. She's strong, and caring, and honorable. And she's who you raised her to be."

Callie's father looked sideways at the woman next to him. He thought silently how odd the perky blonde was, and worried that some one as commited to tea would be able to pass all the necessary tests to become a paedetric surgeon. Arizona stepped back, her eyes wide but her heart feeling content. She believed she reached him on a deep level. She could see his brain churning in his skull, thinking.

Later than night, when Callie was leaving the hospital, she ran into her father.
