Authors Note: Hey guys! I've been real busy with school. I wrote this poem when in my spanish class and she was talking about this spanish artist who paints self portraits. Her name Frida kahlo. I learned that she painted this painting called "The two Fridas". And she painted it when she and her husband got divorced. The drawing was so sad, it inspired me to write this so here it is. :)
Disclaimer: I don't own anything except for the poem. :D
I remember
I remember when you use to look at me that way, the way your smile lights up the room and my whole day.
I remember when you would cuddle with me on the couch and kiss my cheek, I now miss them for they were so sweet.
I remember the way you held me, like I would disappear in a second, but now that you're gone, I feel as if my heart has weakened.
I remembered a time when you would blush, man that blush was how you became my first crush.
I remember when you would get mad, your nostrils would flare, and give me that that look that seemed like a glare.
But then, you would apologize, and tell me everything would be all right.
I remember when you would play with my hair, twirl it around your finger while it's flowing with the air.
I remember when you left me, without saying goodbye, and my heart was broken, all I could say was why?
Those are the best memories I have, and now that you're gone, I am missing my other half.
And yes, yes I remember.
