Seeley Booth was searching the hole frantically wondering why he couldn't see any fresh holes. He felt his heart beating faster knowing his time had run out an hour ago. For all he knew his partner and friend is dead. He heard sirens all around him between cop cars, FBI agents, and ambulances. He heard the other squints around him talking quietly. He sighed once again as he continued looking at the hole the size of a football field. Just as he was thinking of giving up he saw a puff of sand fly into the air.

He didn't even second guess the puff if it was his imagination or not. He took off down the steep hill towards where he saw the puff of air. He heard the rest of the squints following him down the hill. He didn't know if they thought he was crazy or not. He fell to the ground where he knew the puff was and began digging. He didn't care about his suit getting dirty he just wanted to get her out of the ground.

He had dug about a minute before feeling something besides sand hit his hand. He got a firm grip on it and began to pull at it until he saw a female hand wearing a bracelet. The same bracelet he gave her for Christmas. He grunted and shifted his weight so he could dig a deeper hole. After a while he saw her head and tried not to sigh with some kind of relief. He continued pulling her out of the hole not caring that a group of people were standing around the hole as well.

He had her whole upper body out of the hole and just pulled her the rest of the way out. He heard her coughing up whatever she inhaled and than say "Get Hodgins." Booth didn't want to leave her side but did so anyways. He helped the others pull Hodgins out of the hole and quickly turned back to Bones. She was laying there on the ground squinting from the sun and breathing hard. He moved to sit right beside her and said "Your going to be okay."

Bones glanced over at him with a slight smile on her face and said "I knew you would come for me." Booth rubbed hair off her face hearing what she said and answered "I'll always be here Bones." At that point EMT's came rushing over to their sides knowing they had to get Bones and Hodgins to the hospital. Booth had at some point pulled Bones into his arms and refused to let go of her. They stayed that way throughout the whole hospital stay and church visiting. When he bought her home that night and slept on her couch he felt at peace knowing that the gravedigger was still on the loose. But he had gotten his partner back safe.
