Buzz...Buzz...Buzz...went the alarm clock. Himawari let the alarm go on for a few more seconds before she turned it off. She sat up in bed and let out a deep sigh. It was her first day at the academy and she was home alone. Naruto was busy with his Hokage duties, Boruto was away on a mission, and Hinata (who started working at the hospital once Himawari and Boruto were each old enough to stay home alone) was busy at work as well. The usually cheerful girl got ready for the day. "Well, wish me luck," she said as she closed the front door of their home.

Once she got to school she saw many students with their families, receiving words of encouragement as they began their new journey. Himawari couldn't deny that it stung that no one in her family saw her off. Her father didn't even send a clone. Himawari let out another sigh and thought, 'At least mama wished me good luck last night.'

As the day went on, the pain lessened and Himawari was able to enjoy herself as she and her friends were excited about finally taking the first steps into becoming shinobi. She was also happy to have Shino as her sensei, instead of Anko. She had heard some crazy stories about people who had Anko as their sensei. A shudder ran down her spine as she recalled some of those stories. "Hey, Himawari-chan, Shino-sensei dismissed us. It's time to go," called one of Himawari's friends.

"Huh? Oh right," Himawari said as she began packing her things.

Himawari and her friend then exited the school together. They bid each other farewell outside the school gate as they would be walking in opposite directions. As Himawari was walking up the street, she saw someone waiting at the corner. "Nii-chan?" she called.

"Hey Hima, sorry I'm late. But I did promise I would be here for your first day of the academy," replied Boruto.

Himawari smiled brightly at her brother and clung to his arm once she reached him. "Guess what?"

"What?"

"I got Shino-sensei as my teacher."

"That's good I was worried you would get Anko-sensei."

"Me too. I had a few nightmares about her this week," admitted Himawari.

Boruto laughed out loud and said, "She's not that scary."

"Yes she is!"

Boruto thought about it for a second and replied, "I guess she is."

"Any way, how was your mission?"

"Same old same old. I wanna hear more about your first day? How did it go? Are any of your friends in your class?"

Himawari then animatedly told Boruto about the days' events as the siblings walked home. Boruto listened as Himawari spoke and he was glad that he was able to keep his promise of making it back for her first day of the academy. Although, he had wanted to make it in time to also walk her to school, the smile he saw on Himawari's face showed that she was just glad he was there.

Just a little something that came to mind about the Uzumaki siblings. Hope y'all enjoyed
