Kirihana A/N: To the tune of "Sumahama" by the Beach Boys. Kirihana is the Japanese name of a feminine-looking Grass-type Pokémon who appears in Pokémon Gold/Silver. I don't know its English name, or whether it's as strong as I make it out to be in this song. I would have put real Japanese lyrics where they go in this song, but I couldn't find a free online translator that did Japanese! :-( And about the part where Kirihana asks her trainer some questions - I only said she asked. I didn't say the trainer answered, so please don't correct me. :P And I think it's okay for Kirihana to address her trainer as "Mama;" she doesn't know any better. Also, I consider the fifth verse a flashback to around the time of the third verse. :-)
On with the song...

Kirihana,
There's a Pokémon in old Japan,
Where a trainer walking on the sand
Went and captured Kirihana.

Kirihana,
Born a lovely Oriental flower,
Just discovering her Poké-power,
Asked some questions of her trainer.

"Tell me, tell me, Mama,
Will you ever catch some friends for Kirihana?
Just look around out there
And choose between Electric, Fire and Water,
and Grass like Kirihana."

Kirihana,
In the autumn when the leaves are falling,
One can almost hear the trainers calling
Out commands to Kirihana.

Kirihana,
Years have passed and you have grown in strides.
Any trainer surely would take pride
In one as strong as Kirihana.

"Tell me, tell me, Mama,
Will you teach some attacks to Kirihana?
It's no fun, but it's fair
That I can't learn Electric, Fire or Water,
just Grass like Kirihana."
