The stench of burnt flesh filled the air around me. Faded yellow and red filled my fading vision. The smoke filled room, almost consumed by fire, had no effect on me. I took a look at my hands. The clawed digits of my hands soaked and dripped with blood. Yellow cracks formed along my almost transparent skin. The silver, gunmetal colored artificial mechanical appendages that replaced my real ones sparked. Pain racked my head as distorted laughter played through my mind like a broken record stuck on replay. I started to laugh. My laugh becoming more like the one playing through my head. Suddenly pain magnified in my body as I felt it being torn apart. Distorting everything around me as space bended. I could here remnants of my echo as I teleported, of glitched, out of the Talon base.
I fell to my knees when I reformed. The yellow light I was giving off reflected on the metal walls around me. The alley smelling of urine and mildew from the trash and homeless around me. Injured surrounded me. I heard shouts in Spanish and I felt something touch my shoulder. I spun around and the next thing I knew, I found a gun in my hand pointed at a little girl's face. Fear was evident in her violet eyes but they also held curiosity. I could feel my fingers begin to squeeze the trigger slowly against my will. I forced myself to drop the gun. My eyes switched between red, yellow, and blue again as distorted laughter filled my head.
"You are mine. There is nothing you can do to stop me." The voice distorted and switched between octaves at different points. I looked around. Suddenly I could feel an intense burning sensation in neck. I gripped it as I felt my skin crack and yellow light pour from it. My own version of lichtenberg figures. I looked at the roof tops and I felt myself break apart again. What I didn't know was that that little girl I would encounter later had picked up the gun I had left behind.
