Rating: K+
Pairing:
N/A - A Sakura & Sasuke centered story, but no concrete pairing as of yet.
Summery:
With the war ending in Madara's favor, an unlikely person steps up to try and change the course of fate. Sending both Sakura and Sasuke into the past to try and unravel the damage dealt to the future, but will the future's problems disrupt their teamwork to save the past? Time Travel.
Author Note:
This is just sort of a 'prologue' because I began to absolutely loathe the time travel story beginnings when it explains how they get there. I made it as brief as possible, hopefully it'll still catch your eye but not leaving you dreading to just get to the past already. But the things will be revealed later on, like what happened and etc. This first chapter is obviously short but future chapters will be longer. So stay tuned and please review!

"Uchiha Sasuke, I will end you."

Her fist clutched the front of his shirt, lifting his nearly limp form off the ground with little effort, face a mere inches away from his.

"Now is not the time for petty revenge. I do not have much energy left, but with what is left I can still send you two back, you need to stop this all."

Sakura scowled, roughly dropping the boy to his butt and whipping around to face the crippled form of Tobi before her. "Petty revenge? He killed Naruto! There is no revenge more pitiful than one that leads to the destruction of your best friend when all he wanted was to bring him home!"

The man before paid her little rant no heed in favor of threading his fingers through hundreds of seals in the span of seconds. Emerald eyes failing to keep up as onyx ones beside her narrowed, "What are you doing?" Red and rinnegan sharply looked up at her, body falling to the ground on his knees. "Saving us all." With movement against a girl too surprised to keep up, and a boy too tired to move away - a bright light engulfed the three of them. Leaving only behind one tired man in its wake, body collapsing on the battlefield, dead to the destruction and violence that all spiraled out of control far too long ago.

Sakura woke with a start, the bed and sheets drenched in sweat with the small beam of sunlight filtering through the closed curtains and splashing up against the wooden floor panels. A burning sensation blooming on her forearm and with wide emerald eyes she threw the pink comforter off and stared at the small chubby legs that greeted her beneath the sheets. The toes wiggled when she tried wiggling her own and with a heart beginning to thump madly in her chest, she hopped off the bed and scrambled over to the mirror in her room. Much taller than she remembered, her small frame entered its presence greeting her with a version of herself she hadn't seen since the destroyed photo during Pein's invasion. The silent hum of her chakra vibrating through her and bringing attention to the stinging on her arm. A blood seal lingered where it burned, the form of a clock with a hand moving each minute, leaving behind the burning and stinging sensation in her arm. With a blood curdling scream and small fingers curling through short pink hair that lacked a particular ribbon, not seen on the wardrobe where she always left it as a child. Sakura's small form blacked out, the thumping of footsteps entering the hallway. Unbeknownst to all, another form let out a loud cry somewhere far across the village in a lingering and well alive Uchiha compound.
