Summary:
Ray was digging deep under Neela's skin, and she had to say something. Fluff. One-Shot.
Author's Note:
Okay, so here I am writing yet another Ray/Neela fan fiction. In my last one, Staring Is Rude, I was told I had a lot of talent writing Ray/Neela. So I wrote this one, please tell me if I'm still up to par.
P.S. Sorry it took so long to get out!

You Drive Me Crazy

"Can't you be serious?" Neela asked Ray after working with him for the first hour of her shift. Getting fed up with his relaxed persona when going about his job Neela had to say something to him. And while the ER was pretty much detained Neela thought that now would be the best time as ever.

"No." Ray responded picking up a fresh apple and taking a small bite out of it. Neela glared over at Ray and watched him casually chew his apple.

"Why not?" Neela asked him again, not willing to give up the argument. Ray had the ability to be able to crawl under Neela's skin, and she couldn't take it anymore.

"It's not fun?" Ray suggested lightly shrugging his shoulders and looking at Neela with an airy expression on his face. Feeling her heart pound against her chest Neela stepped closer to Ray. His way of life was something that was undetectable to Neela, and she had to pinpoint it's source, even if she was fighting with him all the way back to the apartment.

"It doesn't matter if it's fun or not. People need to be cured, and it's up to us to find that said cure." Neela told Ray thinking she was making a perfect point. But at the same time she felt lightly regretful of her words. She knew Ray was serious about his job and loved it, but the way he went about it loosely was something that Neela couldn't relate to. And she wanted to, badly.

Ray cracked a small smile at Neela and swallowed the last bite of his apple down. "Wow, nice speech Neela. Morris would be proud." He said sitting down in a chair behind the medical counter.

"Shut up." Neela retorted almost laughing, Ray really was something. He was, he was the only person in the world who had the effect on Neela that he had. She couldn't figure out how he was able to do it, and it was really itching at Neela.

"I don't think so." Ray answered in his usual cocky tone, the one that made Neela was to climb up a wall and jump off it, only in the best way that is. Shaking her head Neela tried to avoid Ray's eyes, she couldn't let him see what he was currently doing to her.

"Then go help someone." Neela shot back walking over to her own patient files and started to go over them again in a casual way.

"Nah." Ray spat back to Neela while standing up off the chair and folding his arms across his chest.

Sighing Neela turned around to face Ray again, he really dug deep under her skin this time. "You drive me crazy Ray." She told him staring into his eyes, hoping that he was getting her message loud and clear.

Smiling at his co-worker and roomie Ray walked over to her and stood as close to her as he could, causing chills to sweep through Neela's body. "You drive me crazy too Neela." He whispered into her ear lightly while grabbing his own file and then he stalked away in that cocky swagger that he wore so well.
