TITLE: ASSASINS; VANQUISHING OLD ENEMIES

Leaving My Old Home…

"Are you sure about this, Hon?" Crystal's mom, Janette, asked.

"Yes mom, I'm positive. If I wasn't I wouldn't be doing this. Please, just let me go, I'll visit. I promise." I replied.

"Okay, I know you keep your promises. I know you want to leave to go to that new dig, the new site you found, is it as good as you said it was? Do you really think those old mines still have plenty of gold left in them? Because if not, you're always welcome home." my mom said, giving me a warm embrace, and I gladly welcomed it, tears streaking down my face.

"Yeah mom," I started, wiping tears from my eyes, "I ran through it with a metal detector and it went CRAZY! Then I dug just a bit and found this." I took some yellow metal, that smelt of decay, metal, and more strangely, blood.

"Wow! Real gold! If the mines are as full of gold as you thought, you'll be rich before the week ends!" my mom exclaimed.

"Yup! And the best part is, I was trained for this in college! I just half wish that I'd been a little older before I had gone to college…. I started when I was what? 14" I asked. I had been very intelligent, and I was 16 now. Everyone (As in my teachers and parents/adults) called me a prodigy, they were actually creating a program, where you learn at your rate, but if you're advanced in anything, (Like me…. I guess), you learn faster at that, like two years above your level in that thing, and the rest of your studies are normal.

"I believe so.. So young…." she had tears welling up in her eyes.

"It's okay mom, it's okay…" I said, cradling her head. "I love you mom, sooooo much. I'll miss you, and visit you at least once every three days!" she suddenly stopped crying. Then, mom raised her head, smiled weakly, and looked me straight in the eyes.

"I love you." she said, and kissed me on my forehead, "No matter what, listen to your brother. Now leave before I burst into tears again." she said, pushing me and my suitcases outside the door.

"So this is it….. Our new home!" I exclaimed. Me, my friends, and my brother just got a two story house.
