Okay, I wanted to do the whole weeding scene, because it is so much fun putting the characters in situations that we all know that they would never touch with a two meter pole. So, here I go!

Disclaimer: I do not own the characters that appear in this story (unless I add my own). Harry Potter and Co. belongs to the wonderfully talented J. K. Rowling, as does most of the Potterverse. Only most, because what I don't know, or never been mentioned in the stories, I'll just make up, okay?

Pairings: RW/HG, and others that I am uncertain as of now.

Spoilers: Um, all of them? I am going to try and incorporate the fifth book, even though I thought that Harry was a little high strung and moody, but I'll let it slide as he had a lot of stress and expectations placed on him. And why exactly am I talking about this?

Warnings: AU, to be safe, I think. YAOI! Or SLASH! Or M/M! Whichever you prefer, really. Or not, but then don't read, please. There will be no explicit details, probably no more than holding hands and kissing. I will try to adhere to the PG13 rating.

Prologue

The war was over. The forces of the 'light' won after a long, uphill struggle against Voldemort and his not-so-little band of DeathEaters. Many people had been lost to both sides, and it left the wizarding world feeling the after-effects almost immediately, before the night was over, certainly. Orphans were aplenty, as were widows. Brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, children, none were spared, and the air was more of mourning than celebration.

The old families, whether they prided themselves on being 'pure-blooded' or not, were worried for their future. So many had been killed that the population had greatly decreased, and that did not bode well for the existence of their world. Something must be done to ensure that the wizarding world would continue on, with the traditions passed on. What could they possibly do? Only one thing came up, and even in the dire circumstances, the older generation were wary of it, uncertain. But finally, after weeks of discussion, it was agreed upon, by the Ministry of Magic, the Education Board, the Board of Governors, and most of the parents who had gathered to discuss it. There was a sense of regret, but also of determination. They were going to make sure that their world would survive, and thrive, for a long time.

Or, rather, their children would.

Well, what do you think? Should I continue, or not? Have not done a Harry Potter before, so if you say no, and to finish up my Gundam Wing story, then that will be what I'll do…maybe.
