Note: Okay, so this is something that I had to do for a book report in English - write an alternate ending to the book I was reading, which happened to be the first Harry Potter book. Go figure. Anyway, seeing as there were no limitations on what I could write about. I decided to write the way I wished the book ended.
Also, I know this isn't my best piece of work - sentence structure and all that is horrible. I'm only really posting this so that other people can get a laugh out of it like I did. *Grin*
Uh - the first three paragraphs are from the book. The rest is my own. Enjoy.
Disclaimer: I own nothing, sadly.
"See what I have become?" the face said. 'Mere shadow and vapour…I have form only when I can share another's body…but there have always been those willing to let me into their hearts and minds…Unicorn blood has strengthened me, these past weeks…you saw faithful Quirrell drinking it for me in the forest…and once I have the Elixir of Life, I will be able to create a body of my own…Now…why don't you give me that stone in your pocket?"
So he knew. The feeling suddenly surged back into Harry's legs. He stumbled backwards.
"Don't be a fool," snarled the face. "Better to save your own life and join me…or you'll meet the same end as your parents…They died begging me for mercy."
Harry stood, contemplating the words spoken to him. If he joined Voldemort he would never have to go back to the horrible Dursley's again. There would be no need for him to continue his schooling; Voldemort could teach him everything he needed to know.
"And how does this benefit me?" Harry inquired, raising an eyebrow.
"I can give you the one thing every boy your age wants," Voldemort said alluringly. "I can give you the one thing that everyone wants…Ultimate power."
Harry looked at Voldemort, never again would he be bossed around and bullied, he would have power. "Alright," Harry grinned, a plan formulating in his small mind.
"Excellent," Voldemort slithered.
EPILOGUE
It had been years since Harry joined Voldemort at his right hand. All of his previous followers – and their children – returned to their original ranks. Including the Malfoy's – the most powerful and purest wizarding family.
Barely a year after Voldemort returned to full power did Hogwarts fall, no longer a school for mud-bloods and muggle-born, only the purest of blood was accepted.
Harry was now in his sixth year at Hogwarts, top of his classes and most feared by the student body, with the exception of his best friend – Draco. It hadn't been long after the rise of Voldemort that the two settled their differences – for the most part. They still competed in everything that they did – school, Quidditch, sarcastic wit.
The two were inseparable, attached at the hip. There had been rumours going around since their third year that they were more than friends. However, this was never confirmed, nor was it denied.
Yup, like I said, not the best thing I've ever come up with. It's just more or less humour. Hope you enjoyed it. I might elaborate on it one day - if I get the inspiration, or the right ideas. xD
