001. Romance.

Hiten watched contently as his wife came out from the washroom. Her crimson rob hanging loosely from her body, the tie at the waist holding it in. In some places, the thin material clung to her damp frame. Her layered hair hung down her back. It was a morning like any other, there was no rush to go anywhere, there was peace in the manor, and he enjoyed that.

He watched her drop the robe to the ground and get dressed at her usual morning pace. Her expression revealed tiredness. It was only recently that they won back the valley, since they had been wed. She had been keeping his needs, along with Souten and the young demon they took in, at the top of her priority list and he frowned to that. Today, she didn't appear happy as she previously had.

"Something's the matter?" He asked, clearing his throat to adjust his hoarse voice.

"Hm?" Her scarlet eyes looked over, blinking when she realized he wasn't on the bed. "Hit…" She stopped when she felt two strong arms wrapped securely around her waist.

"I asked if something was the matter." He cooed softly in her ear and she felt her face get hot. After the months she spent with him, he still could make her blush.

"Nothing's wrong." She assured and purred quietly as he placed gentle kisses on her nape. He lifted his head, just a little, just enough to see her red, glossy lips. They had a faint, but visible, smile. He pecked the corner of the smile and she looked over to him.

"I'll go make you breakfast." He kissed her lips and her eyes widened a little, shocked by his unusual morning behavior. He pulled away, leaving her breathless and made his way to the kitchen.

All Abi needed to keep her day content was a little romance; he could handle that.
