All right, everyone! I'm back, and these are going to be a bunch of oneshots, pairings will usually be Nalu, and there will be character reflections, (like this one).
Read and Review, and I hope you enjoy!
It was a bit scary to Lucy.
To everyone, really.
The way someone so... jovial, could become so menacing.
Have so much anger in them.
Honestly, every time he fought Gray, it was more of a "I'm bored, Lucy's not going on a mission with me, so I'm going to fight this dipshit," kind of thing, not an actual fight.
Always challenging how much power he could unleash, but never trying to hurt someone beyond repair.
At least, he never tried to hurt someone beyond repair if they were nakama.
The first time Lucy had seen him so angry was when he was arguing with Jii-chan, asking to attack, because they deserved what they got. Even Lucy agreed with that. But the ferocity that he argued with, it made even the most calm of the guild eager to fight.
Lucy had later heard from Gray that Natsu had been unwilling to retreat, even when Erza, Titania, had ordered him too. Apparently that was when he hadn't had a HUGE grasp on his powers. But more on that later.
There were the silly times, too. Like Mabel, the weird lady who wanted to see a dragon. I mean, sure, she seemed like a huge threat, but really, she was a joke compared to most of the villains that they faced. But Natsu got ridiculously angry.
"Anger! That itself is the greatest source of his power,"
"A Fairy Tail wizard is ridding this city of evil!"
Natsu did his job better when he was angry. That was simple.
But it also depended on why he was angry. A simple, petty reason, something like Gray calling him some stupid name, (those bakas), he would rise up to the challenge and commence a fist fight. Only simple magic, Fire Dragon's Roar, and the like were used.
But when someone he cared about was hurt, when his nakama was hurt, forget about being able to hear the alias, "Salamander" without fainting from the shock.
He would make sure that you would never make the same mistake twice.
Like Tenroujima.
Oh, when Jii-chan was hurt, everyone was upset. EVERYONE.
But Natsu was reduced to a wild, savage, animal. A predator, ready to attack those who had hurt his pride, his pack, his herd, his family.
He had made the first move, and he hadn't given up, even when the rest of us nearly gave up hope.
And he finished it, with this wild, feral look in his eyes, knocking Hades out for good.
But when Lucy looks at him sometimes, when they're in the safety of the guild, she wonders.
How come someone who has so much anger show so much compassion towards me and his family?
