A girl with black hair and blue eyes ran through the different division barracks as rain splattered against her exposed face. She didn't care, though. She waited for what seemed like forever to see him. Ah, hell. She missed him. A lot. The news about the recent hollow attacks in the living world didn't help matters at all. Beside that rather distraught news, though, she knew she was going to see him again. This just made their relationship even stronger.

/Flash back/

"Hanatarou-kun," A girl with black hair and blue eyes said as she stood in front of a large gate and faced a male with black hair and black eyes. "Do you have to go?"
"Hai, Keskai-san," Hanatarou, the male responded quietly but then smiled, "I'll be back as soon as it starts to rain."
"Really?"
"Yep!"
"Promise me?"
"I promise."

/end flash back/

That very moment that her mind played, was over a few months ago and still no word from him. Why did she have to be so paranoid all of the time. She should have more confidence in him and their promise. All kind of paranoid thoughts rushed through the poor girl's head as she made her way to where the gate connecting to the living world was.

Would she see her sweet and lovable Hana-kun of the fourth division again? She stopped in her tracks as she slowly neared the gate and saw some shinigami emerging from it. They were hurt but not badly injured and as she passed every one of them slowly, the paranoid questions running through her head became worse. Much worse. Where was he? He never ever once broke a promise to her so where was he. She felt the stinging of tears creep to her blue orbs as she quickened her pace and frantically searched the faces of the shinigamis who passed her. Not him and not him. And it wasn't him.

'Hana-kun!' She screamed in her head as she wanted to break down and cry. 'Where are you? You promised me!'

Some more shinigami emerged from the gate and then none emerged as Keskai just stood there, frozen to her spot as her face turned blank and then she turned from the gate just as tears crept down her face slowly.

"Keskai-san…"

Someone was calling her name and she recognized that voice. Too very well did she recognize it and she automatically twirled around and then let her expression change immediately as she ran and then latched herself onto the one young man that she was waiting for."Hana-kun!"

"See," Hanatarou smiled warmly as he was knocked off guard at first but then wrapped his arms around her, "I always keep my promises."
"I'm glad!" Keskai said as she leaned her head up towards him and she kissed him gingerly on his lips then they locked arms and started to walk away.

Maybe rain isn't that bad.

Author's note :

I don't really call this my first online fanfiction because in my books, it isn't classified as one because it isn't long enough for my own liking. haha, that doesn't make sense but whatever. Please review and I'll give you chocolate chip cookies! 3
