He sat on his bed watching the rain fall slowly to the ground. "It looks like I'm not the only miserable person in the world, at least," Draco said out loud. Minutes later….
"Why do I feel this way? Why did I have to fall for my bloody enemy?" he yelled at himself. He jumped off of his bed and ran into the common room, through the entrance and out into the rain.
"This is much better! Now I can be alone in my sorrows," Draco told himself. The rain began falling harder and he laid on his back, letting it pound his face, stomach and legs.
"What's wrong with you, Malfoy?" came the voice of none other than Harry Potter. "Being a little melodramatic, aren't we?"
"Please don't mess with me, right now. Please, Potter?" Draco asked, his tears mingling with the rain. He heard Harry's footsteps coming closer and then a soft touch on his shoulder.
"Are you alright, Draco? You're crying, aren't you?" Harry asked.
Draco opened his eyes and said, "No, I'm not crying," his voice quavering. He immediately hated himself for showing weakness in front of his crush.
"Its OK, Draco. Come here," Harry said, pulling him into his arms, "you can cry." He ran his hands through the blonde hair and smiled softly when Draco latched onto his shirt, bringing them ever closer.
He gently pushed Draco to arms length, but then brought their faces nearer until their lips met in a soft kiss. Draco kissed back at first, then pulled away quickly, asking, "Why did you just kiss me, Harry?"
Harry paused a moment, then replied, "I wanted to know what it would feel like to kiss the love of my life."
Draco gasped and pulled Harry into a crushing embrace, which he returned. "So you…love me?" he whispered almost inaudibly into Harry's neck.
"Yes, I do. I just never did anything about my feelings because you were always so mean to me and my friends," Harry answered.
"I'm sorry. I never meant to be so mean. Do you think that you could ever forgive me?" Draco asked.
"Of course, but on one condition," Harry responded.
"Which would be what?" Draco inquired.
"That you say you love me," Harry whispered, smiling.
"I love you! There! Now can I kiss you?" he asked boldly.
"Do you even have to ask?" Harry said. He closed his eyes and felt Draco's warm lips pressing against his neck, then his jaw and cheek, and finally, his own lips.
"I'll love you forever, Draco."
"I'll love you, too, Harry. Always."
