Merlin huffed in frustration. "Remind me why I needed to poison one of my best friends?"
"Destiny, young Warlock." The Great Dragon replied, while Merlin simply sighed.

"He's an idiot- I think you've got the wrong Arthur- why do I need to protect him?" Merlin asked incredously.
"Destiny, Merlin." The Dragon replied wisely.

"Why do I need to go and try to get myself killed by Nimueh?" Merlin frowned in confusion.
"Destiny." The dragon replied, getting a rather odd feeling of déjà vu…

"Okay, why in the name of planet earth do I need to not tell Morgana she's not alone and that I can help her use her magic for good?" Merlin frowned again.
"Destiny!" The Dragon almost yelled.
"Alright!" Merlin muttered under his breath, "Keep your scales on!"

"Why do I need to set you free again?" Merlin asked.
"Because you swore on your mother's life and-
"Destiny." Both the warlock and the Dragon said at the same time- one full of awe, and one dryly. (You can decide for yourself which one's which)

"Merlin?"
"Yeah Arthur?"
"Why haven't you mucked the stables?" He turned to look at Merlin.
"Destiny?" Merlin offered.
Arthur scoffed. "People just use destiny for an excuse. Muck out the stables."
Not really sure where this came from… but I'll post it anyway. It's *slightly* AU, as none of these conversations took place and it's not in chronological order. Please ignore my horrible attempt at humour…
