Scott sighed, trying again to interrupt his findings differently. There was no way it fit together differently, but it still seemed impossible. With everything he had had with Jean, how could this be how it ended? It did not seem right, or fair. For either of them. Feeling resigned, Scott determinedly made his way through the school halls, looking for Jean.

His conviction was easily noticed by others, though he was oblivious when the professor stopped his own question and simply watched him head down the hall.

Not knocking, Scott simply walked into the room, staring at the floor. "Jean…" His voice was calm, though you could hear a slight bitter tinge.

Her eyes jumped away from the book she had been reading, and moved wide and attentive to Scott. He had found out. She was doomed, it wasn't supposed to end like this. He didn't give her time to reply.

"I'm sorry."

Her fear vanished to confusion. Why should he feel sorry? It was all her fault. Unless… fear took her again. After finding out about their affair, had Scott done something to him?

"I don't really know how to say this but…"

She waited for it, the news that he had managed to kill the man she actually loved. Jean loved Scott more like a brother, but Logan… He wasn't as arrogant as most made him out to be.

"I'm…"

Jean became immediately confused again, this didn't make sense. What was he getting at? His gaze was even directed at the floor, as if he was ashamed.

"I'm gay Jean."

She fell backwards laughing with relief. He would definitely take the news better now. Though, Logan would definitely find a way to tease her about this.

A/N This was just a lot of fun, with no particular reason behind it. I hope it was still enjoyable.
