Author's Note: I am currently in the process of moving back in with my mom, and while moving some things around, I came across this fan fiction that she wrote probably around seventeen years ago. It's very short and most likely based on the television series, I'm not even sure if she wrote anymore because this is all I found. I'm typing this the way she wrote it. I did come up with the title because it didn't have one.
Disclaimer: My mom and I don't own the Outsiders
The sun is bright in the cloudless blue sky over Walker Ridge. It's a warm spring day and birds are singing.
Tim Shepherd, a tall, well built, handsome, young man drives his '57 Chevy down the highway enjoying the weather. Up ahead he sees a car off on the shoulder. Standing beside it is a pretty girl, well built with a pretty face and large expressive eyes. Tim pulls over to see if he can help.
When he gets out of the car, he sees that her left rear tire is flat.
"Hi," he says, leaning easily on the fender.
"Hi," the girl replies.
"I can change that for ya if ya got a spare."
"That's just the problem. That is my spare. My tire blew about five miles back."
"That's a problem."
Tim takes a moment to more closely check out the girl. She too, appraises him.
"There's a DX station about five miles down the road," Tim says finally. "We can take your tire there and get it fixed. Then we'll come back here and change it and get ya on your way."
The girl looks at Tim for a moment.
"You can trust me," he says. "I'll keep my hands on the wheel all the way."
The girl laughs.
"I don't even know your name," she says.
Tim extends his hand.
"Tim Shepherd, at your service," he says.
The girl takes his hand.
"Marcia Silverton," she says. "It's nice to meet you Tim."
"You too. Let's go."
They climb into Tim's car after putting the flat tire in the trunk and head for the DX station-also known as Buck's place.
At the DX, Tim buys Marcia a cold soft drink while they wait for the attendant, Soda Pop Curtis, to fix the flat.
