Hello everyone! Just a note to say I do not own any of these characters; they belong solely to J.K Rowling. Please enjoy the story and review.

Draco smirked as Snape criticized Hermione for the third time that potions lesson. "Miss Granger, did you not read the instructions I so carefully placed on the board?" Professor Snape asked, eying the melted cauldron and the bubbling, green potion that was now seeping onto the stone floor. Hermione frowned and bit her lip as Snape continued, "You obviously added the wormwood before you lowered the heat." She set her gaze upon the instructions, her long amber hair forming a veil around her flushed face.

Snape pursed his lips together forming a thin straight line, surprisingly similar to that of Professor McGonagall's. He leaned closer to Hermione so, only she could hear what he was going to say. "It is clear that you, Miss Granger, are not as adept in potions as you are in your other subjects." A small smile appeared at the corned of his mouth,

"Of course, the art of potions making is considerably more difficult than most other classes." He paused and glanced around the room, in the absence of the usual chatter associated with his class, realizing that all the students were watching and listening.

Snape frowned and shouted at the nearest Gryffindor, Neville, "If you had paid this much attention, throughout the year, perhaps you might have actually passed." Neville stared, shocked, at Professor Snape and nervously turned toward Harry, who was sitting next to him. Harry met Snape's eyes and angrily glared at him. Snape merely raised his eyebrows and said, "Return to your potions. Who ever have not completed their potion by the end of the lesson, will come back tonight so I can personally see it has been accomplished." Murmuring broke out amongst the class as they dejectedly resumed to measuring their ingredients and preparing their potions.

Hermione wiped a tear off her petite face as Snape was dishing out threats. She just couldn't believe it, she had passed every other class with flying colours but with potions...Hermione bit her lower lip and slowly pushed her wavy hair behind her ears. During the previous holidays she had come across a spell in Glam Witch that tamed 'unruly' hair. She was happy that Harry and Ron had finally realized she was in fact a girl, probably due to her developing a rather curvy frame. Having finished yelling at the class, Snape bent down, "Come back here, straight after dinner." He frowned at her, "I will arrange for a tutor to meet you here." Hermione blushed and nodded, her hazel eyes staring at the remains of her cauldron. Snape raised his hand and effortlessly cleaned the mess off the floor, with a mere wave of his hand. "Class dismissed, Mr Malfoy may I see you for a moment?"
