"First years this way" Came the voice of what must have been the biggest man in existence. "Come along now. Four to a boat."
The students climbed aboard and off the boats sailed. Soon the castle was seen and met with gasps of everyone. Pure blood and muggle born alike.
On closer inspection one would see that the castle grounds still had tell tale signs of the battle waged there five years prior. And when the eleven year olds got to the main doors the giant man stopped in front of a large statue. It was in the shape of a phoenix. He bowed his head silently while the children looked closer. The Entire thing was covered in names. And below them it said "We Will Remember". It was the memorial to everyone who lost their lives during the wars.
After a few more silent moments, the man opened the doors and lead the nerves students to the great hall entrance. Standing there with his back turned was a man. His hair was an absolute mess, and when he turned his face wore a grin the met his emerald eyes. A faint lightning shaped scar was visible on his forehead.
"Hello, Im the deputy headmaster and the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor Harry Potter. And welcome to what I hope will come to feel like home."
