Authors' Notes: I wanted to do a Fanfic based on Ed's thought in the episode Mother. So here's my fanfic.

Disclaimer: I don't own Full Metal Alchemist, regardless of how much I love the series.

Yes! We're finally doing this. At least Al is in this with me. I still feel like something isn't going to go in our favor. Oh, well. It can't be too bad.

I had just finished drawing the transmutation circle and sat down next to Al. He was always telling me to listen to Teacher but, she has been and never will be the boss of me. Even if she taught us all we needed to know about alchemy.

Maybe I should ask him if he really wants to go through this. But I really don't want to do this alone. He looks really worried. I'll ask him, if he says no, then I won't do this either.

"You ready?" I asked him. Really anxious, I looked at my brother. He nodded his head, even though he looked like he was trying to say no.

Ok. We're going to do this. There's no turning back once we put our hands down.

I dropped my hands and Al did as well almost simultaneously. Once we did that I felt some sort of wind coming from the center of the room.

A small whirlwind of golden light filled the room after the winds appeared. I watched the colors swirl around me when they changed instantly in to a mauve color.

That's strange. The colors just changed.

"Brother, something's wrong." I heard Al say kind of worried. Then more panicked, he cried. "Brother!"

I looked up, looking at what was happening. Little black hands were attaching themselves to his body. I lurched forward trying to grab his hand. That's when I felt something on my leg, due to the fact that I had shorts on. I stopped to look at what it was.

The same black hands were grabbing my left leg and it was disappearing.

What the hell? What the hell are these things? It can't be- No! Don't ever think that, idiot! Don't ever think that!

"Ed!" I heard Al scream.

I looked up, "No!" I said under my breath. Al was being pulled backwards into a door that came out of nowhere. I reached for his hand, but he was being pulled away too quickly.

"Alphonse!" I yelled, still trying to grab his hand, but it was no use. I couldn't reach him.

Common! I have to get him away from those things. But more importantly, where the hell did that door come from? Common Al! Grab my hand! Please!

"Edward!" Al screamed before he was pulled back through the door and closed behind him.

My left leg was gone, but so was my brother. I had to get him back... somehow.

I was still kneeling on the ground looking at the floor. My left leg was bleeding but I didn't care.

What the hell happened? Wait! Al! Is he ok? Oh, god, let him be ok.

"Al?" I asked. TI looked up to the center of the room, hoping to see mother. hen looking over only to see his clothes. "Alphonse!" I said quickly. Saying that took a lot out of me. Cursing and coughing from the dust and smoke. I growled, "Dammit! This wasn't supposed to- Dammit!"

No! He's not here. If this is a dream, then I want to wake up now.

I looked up to the center of the room, hoping to see mother. All I saw was a mangled heap of skin, blood, and what I thought were bones. But the most disturbing thing about it was the head. The head was jerking around and it looked like it was trying to say something.

I can't take it anymore. This is too much. The only family I have l have left, is that bastard. But I will never go to him. I'll bring Al back, even if it's the last thing I do!

The only two things I could do was scream, and so I did. I probably yelled load enough for Winry and Auntie Pinanko to hear, but I didn't care.

And then I cried.

Authors' Note's: I'm going to stop there because I can't really remember what else happened. Thanks for reading my story. Please review so that I know how good I did on this.
